Budget Host Caribou Inn

The Hotel itself needs repair and updated. Was there for the Beet Harvest. The Hostess was absolutely superb. Mud was a common daily thing for a month and very hard to remove from all steps. The Hostess barely slept in the month time we were there trying to accommodate us all. This person needs a raise and some help next year when we are there. I give her five plus stars and the Hotel 3.

Stayed here for a week, recently, the couple that manage it are quite weird, not very friendly and possibly on *****. There's never anyone at front desk, they're also hard to get ahold of on phone, even though they live in the hotel near front entrance. Into small town gossip and spreading rumors about people, like I care?! After 4 days, I asked her to clean my room, never happened that day or my entire stay and there were few people staying there! Had to get my own towels and trash bags from the utility room they left door wide open, some doors to unoccupied rooms are left wide open with lights and bath fan on. Lazy, strange people and disrespectful.. Some young kid who parks by the dumpster and lives on second floor smokes pot all the time. Hallway smells like *****. Condition of hotel is going downhill. Very dated and deteriorating. This was a terrible experience, overall. Customer service absolutely ******, like this town in the middle of nowhere of 900 people! NEVER AGAIN. Do not stay here! Twilight Zone meets Breaking Bad experience! 👎 🤮🤢🤬👀🤡💩

Hallock was such a fun small town that it was a real disappointment that the hotel was so disgusting! Started with the owner checking us in barefoot and in shorts and dirty tee-shirt. Carpet was crunchy and hadn't been cleaned. Walls were dirty and room smelled musty. Bath towel was threadbare and had a hole in it. Continental breakfast was advertised but nothing was offered...not even coffee. Thank goodness there is a really nice coffee shop a block away. There is also a great brewery, wine bar, decor shop and a amazing distillery that was so much fun! Stay far away from the hotel but if you can find somewhere else close to stay it is well worth it to enjoy the rest of the town & the people who make you feel so welcome.
