Was attending a conference at the Adelaide Hills Conference Centre but was after something more central to the town, where I could park my car and walk to nearby cafes/restaurants/shops. Manna by Haus ticked all the boxes. The reception is right on Hahndorf's main street, and the rear parking area is accessible via Auricht Road. I arrived after 6:30pm, when the reception had closed but a quick call to their afterhours number and I was able to access my keys via the electronic key box. It is more of an upmarket motel then a hotel. I had an executive room with a king bed, in the middle of the complex. The room was extremely spacious, and light and airy - looked like it had been recently renovated in a simple Scandanavian style (very much like the photos on the website). I would probably avoid the units at the rear which access directly onto the carparking area or the units near the public toilets. I found that the bed was super comfortable (would have liked a firmer pillow) and I used the king-sized blanket at night, even though the A/C kept the rood warm. The bathroom was well set out and had great water pressure. The glass sliding doors at the end of the room, opened directly out onto the circulation space and the entrances to the other rooms, which was a bit weird, and whilst the weather was inclement at times there were some smokers who sat there talking for most of the evening. The carparking area is relatively small and though I always managed to find a spot in the late evening (even the electric charging bays were occupied by non-electric vehicles). I could image that during peak times that parking bays would be at a premium. Most of the circulation spaces are open to the elements which means if it is raining you are likely to get wet going to your rooms from the reception or the car parking area (also be carefully some of the paving areas can get slippery). Reception does have a limited number of umbrellas, but you have to get there first. The Manna by Haus met all my needs for my trip to Hahndorf, so I would happily recommend it to anyone visiting the Adelaide Hills.
