Taj Usha Kiran Palace, Gwalior

A converted palace in the middle of a bustling city a haven of tranquility. A delightful but difficult building to negotiate one’s way around. Splendid bedroom beautifully appointed a joy to be in. The staff from the wonderful general manager down were helpful, courteous and extremely patient. To pick out a single member of staff is difficult but my vote goes to Ravi in the dining room. The chef was incredibly helpful when sorting out my dietary problems and produced meals of the highest quality. Recommended you stay I leave you to make your own mind.

Recently renovated heritage hotel. Very clean and full of charm. The staff were attentive and welcoming, but sometimes fell a little short of what you would expect from this 5 star chain of hotels. For example, one day we returned after a full day exploring the city and our room had not been cleaned. One evening we ate in the restaurant and ordered two dishes, but only one arrived. One evening we went to 5 o’clock cocktails but there was no bartender in the bar. And the first morning we had breakfast we were told it was buffet only; I asked if there was any a menu and was told no, only to realize later that there was in fact a menu full of delicious options. This hotel has potential to be amazing but it needs to pay attention to the details.

Our supervisor Pavan in the pool area was absolutely amazing at making us feel comfortable and provided an environment of hospitality as well. The pool was divided into two parts: one was the normal swimming pool and the other was actually a jacuzzi type tub conjoined to the pool…. It was definitely a must try activity in the hotel

Spa en restaurant zijn voortreffelijk. We hebben het hotel bezocht voor lunch en spa. We hebben er niet overnacht. Het eten was heerlijk bediening was zeer vriendelijk en correct. Aansluitend naar de spa. Ik voel me een ander mens na een heerlijke en zeer goede massage en stoombad.

Went for lunch on 18th October with family. The food was served well on time and staff, specially Ms Soumya was very courteous and professional. The food tasted authentic and was customised as well as per the food choices. Overall the hospitality was overwhelming. Ms Soumya helpful behaviour made the overall experience worth remembering.

First Impressions-Walked into the reception to a musky smell caused by inadequate circulation.The fanfare for the welcome which included the musicians could be choreographed better maybe on the lines of Taj Havelock.  Well appointed heritage suite and a pleasant interaction with Teresa, the affable Front Office Manager The next three days are summed up in subsequent paragraphs. Food/Restaurant 1.    The service at the restaurant which was initially found wanting did become better with time.Great work ethics of Prakash and Arjun 2. Pls work on a more creative layout for the buffet meals. Very mundane spread. Try and introduce a GHAR KA KHANA section akin to Blue Diamond Pune. Housekeeping / Laundry Housekeeping Efficient. Laundry Average. Final Word Grooming of some members of the team needs to be a real focus area. As shared with some office bearers, this dampener has the potential to hit revenue and this is a considered view having heard In summary, this is a team of some contrasts and while that is acceptable to an extent in a new property, it could be counter-productive going forward esp considering the demography of this area. Great Leadership provided by Ms Tanika Taneja as revealed in each of my interactions with her and members of the leadership group. Fantastic vision for someone young but with a great sense of hospitality. I wish you guys well and would surely return to see your trajectory. God Bless Regards

Went for a spa at taj usha kiran palace gwalior, and it was a really pleasing and relaxing experience. Nivedita took really good care of me she was very professional at the work and the aroma therapy turned out to be really calming and rejuvenating experience. I would really recommend the spa services here for anyone looking for a good professional spa.

We really like the way you guys received us and especially Soumya gi did very good service for us,we really appreciate it. the food quality is also as good as hotel we thank you for the quick lightening service really appreciate it thank you all
