Selectum Colours Bodrum

3 gece 4 gün tatilimiz için bu oteli tercih ettik. Tamamen puana göre karar vermiştim ama yorumları sonradan okudum, ne verip ne almak istediğinize iyi karar vermelisiniz. Fiyat/performans/kalite dengesi bence ***et iyi. Yüzme havuzu yeterli, çocuklar için 2 adet kaydırak mevcut. Plajı güzel, kum/taş karışık (deniz ayakkabısı ile rahat girdik). Vee yemekler, 1.gün "asia night", yemekler genel olarak çok iyiydi . 2. Gün "fish night", 3. Gün "international night" ama o kadar da uluslararası bişey görmedik. Ama her akşam leziz pideler yapan Şener bey'e teşekkür etmek isterim. İlk akşam yemeğimizden sonra yediğimiz "paris brest" harikaydı, tazecik yapılıp servis edildi. Kahvaltısı da ***et çeşitli ve yeterli. Yine her sabah nefis börekler yapan ustaya da teşekkürler (fırından çıktığı an bitiyordu). Biz standart ranzalı oda tercih ettik 2 çocuğumuzla, oda küçüktü, sadece yatak ve yanında ranza var, valizimizi rahatça açamadık. Sinek ve böcek konusunu okudum ve evet var, 3 örümcek ve 2-3 sivrisinekle karşılaşınca çocuklar biraz korktu ama hallettik. Pastane bölümünde ve öğlen/akşam yemek bölümünde tatlı büfesini yeterli ve çeşitli bulmadık. Hep aynı tatlılar ve doğru dürüst yenecek bi tatlı yok malesef (paris brest olaydı tabi). Çarşamba ve cuma canlı müzik vardı ve eğlenceliydi. Otel Personeli gençlerden oluşuyor, genel olarak ilgili ve güler yüzlüler. Plajda yanımıza gelip ihtiyacımız olup olmadığını soran Helin hanım bize havuza kadar eşlik etti, teşekkürler (ilk gün biraz kafa karıştıran bir yer). Yani genel olarak biz memnun kaldık.

Otelin manzarası çok güzel. Konumu çok güzel bir yerde. Eğlence konusunda sınır tanımayan bir otel. Sabah aktiviteleri yoga, bocca, dart, aqua gym, water polo, voleybol ve bir çok daha aktivitesi mevcut. Animasyon ekibi çok ilgili ve sohbeti çok tatlı. Yemekler lezzetli ve her akşam farklı yemek tarzları mevcut. Cankurtaranlar görevin her zaman başındalar. Teşekkürler selectum ailesi.

As people have commented, there is alot of walking up steps and slopes to get from rooms to various places within the complex, but you do get used to it. Rooms OK, modern feel. A standard double would be ok for 2 people, having 3 people would feel cramped. And as I understand it, the third person has to use the sofa! Room cleaned everyday, fresh towels and bed linen changed when needed. Mini bar restocked daily, 1 large water, 2 small, 2 pepsi, 2 seven 7, 2 orange and 2 beers. Plus tea and coffee. Safety deposit box in the room free to use, toiletries in the bathroom. Pool areas, 3 pools 1 main, 1 relax pool and the pool for the waterslides. Plus indoor pool. Used the main pool on the first day, and felt the pool and pool area too small and crowded for the size of the hotel, the pool temperature for May was on the cool side. Much preferred the beach with the 3 piers. Beach towels readily available. Sun loungers are being reserved with towels at the main pool before 7.30 am and the hotel does nothing to stop this. Bar Service, the Lobby Bar was the best for service and quality of drinks. Have to say the pool bar drinks and service was not great. Drawback not enough staff serving at the bars at peak times, meaning guests having to queue. The main buffet restaurant, where the food is okay and plentiful, has a strange setup and layout. Food stations are located at the entrance, some of which are squashed together, leaving little space to move around. There are more stations with more space, and some are even located outside. Getting a table can be a challenge, and then it is pot luck if you get a drink order taken, or just give up and get it yourself. Other restaurants on site, which you get one visit per stay, plus the 24/7 restaurant open nearly 24 hours a day. Activities are on offer during the day and entertainment in the evening. Service from the staff, some staff are great where others do let the others down, whether it's it the main restaurant or in one of the bars, where they seem to struggle to make cocktails. When checking out, I would expect the reception staff member to ask "if I had a nice stay?", but that was lacking, just took my key card back and that was it. For the money I paid, it was value for money, but at normal rates possibly not great value.

Overall, this was a disappointing stay. This hotel is not a 5* by any means. CLEANLINESS/ROOM: From the start, the room was unacceptably dirty. The bathroom was stained, with hairs on the counter, mould on the ceiling (extractor fan broken), lime-scaled shower fixtures, and mouldy grout. The dust-covered phone next to the toilet, stained toilet lid, and stained toilet roll holder, and the squashed bug on the mirror further showed how rushed the cleaning was. In the bed, we found long black hairs that were not ours, and brown stains on the bed frame were present. The floor was barely mopped and filthy. The bedside phone was caked with brown grime, and the bedside table was dusty. Despite requesting a re-cleaning at reception, little changed when we returned later. I would like to note, I don't necessarily blame the cleaning staff for the lack of cleanliness. There are clearly not enough staff to clean so many rooms efficiently. Privacy on the balcony is non-existent; everyone walking past can see you. We were fortunate to be on a higher level, unlike ground-floor rooms with minimal privacy. The minibar was stocked nearly daily with beer, water and soft drinks, which was appreciated. We endured excessively loud music one night, unclear if it was from the hotel or a nearby bar, but it was still loud after 11 pm - if we had children with us, this would have been even more of an issue. Sitting on the balcony, you can hear multiple sources of loud music simultaneously, which is unpleasant. Overall, the rooms are outdated, tired, and falling apart. FOOD/BARS: Food in the main buffet was abysmal; bland, cold and mostly geared towards an Eastern European palette. Overcooked, tough chicken was common. Food labelling was a major issue - as a pregnant guest, I was misled when what was labelled 'veal' turned out to be veal LIVER, which I cannot eat. Thankfully, my husband caught this before I tried any. Staff in the buffet were welcoming and friendly, for the most part. The 24 hour restaurant was a positive. It offered better, freshly made food, and the staff were a credit to the hotel. Again, as a pregnant guest, I relied on mocktails - these were unsatisfactory, poorly made, and on one occasion, contained alcohol. Thankfully, I saw this happen. The language barrier was very apparent when ordering drinks, as barely any English was spoken by some of the staff. Smoking was rife, especially on the lobby bar terrace, exacerbating my asthma. There should be designated no-smoking areas to help with this. POOL: The pool area was the hotel's highlight; it was kept very clean, and the pool is large and spacious, albeit very cold. However, the sunbeds were reserved quite early with no intervention, so arrive early for a good spot. They are tightly packed, with strangers elbow to elbow, though parasols and tables are ample. Отдыхали в мае с 9 по 19. Нас поселили в номера на 6 уровне от моря. Отель расположен на склоне горы и номера расположены в несколько ярусов. Порадовало, что номер находился на одном уровне с основным рестораном и спускаться и подниматься не приходилось каждый раз. Номера в отеле самые обычные и достаточно простые. Отель не новый и большой, но номера чистые и ухоженные. В номере стандартный набор: сейф, минибар , фен, мыльно-рольные средства, чайник. Сантехника работала нормально, проблем со смесителями и подачей воды не было. Уборка номеров ежедневная. У отеля очень хорошая локация, отличный вид на бухту из любой части отеля. До центра Бодрума, можно добраться за пол часа как на такси, так и на автобусе. До барных улиц Гюмбета 10-15 минут пешком. Рядом есть супермаркеты (мигрос, карфур и кос). Контингент отдыхающих в отеле смешанный. В основном ресторане каждый вечер тематические ужины. На входе выставляют плакат с темой вечера. Достаточно разнообразно, рыба, мясо, птица. Есть диетический стол, детское питание и гриль-бар и конечно же турецкие сладости. Что то подходящее всегда можно выбрать. Очередей за едой нет но загруженность ресторана большая. Официанты ненавязчивы. Удалось посетить рыбный ресторан Аля карт. Разнообразные закуски, свежая рыба на гриле, нежнейшие кальмары. Все очень понравилось. Есть был ресторан а ля карт с итальянской и с местной кухней. Бар ультра все включено находится рядом с рецепшен - там помимо местного, есть импортный алкоголь. Пляжная линия у отеля не широкая но вместительная, есть пара пирсов на которые выставлены лежаки. Бассейны 2 штуки - на основновном днём играет музыка и проходит всякая анимация типа водного поло, игр в дартс и прочей активити. И второй - тихий бассейн в дали от всего. Кроме того в отеле есть две водные горки. В период нашего пребывания в амфитеатре были пара раз шоу: турецкие танцы и монгольский цирк. В основном вечером живой звук возле мельницы. По итогу, отель нормальный. Расположение хорошее, Питание хорошее, Сервис не навязчивый, анимация стандартная, уборка в номерах простая. Мы приехали отдыхать и нам понравилось!
