The hotel has a beautiful location. The antique building has been kept in excellent condition. We chose to stay in the Feature Double Room-old Hall. The room was very spacious, with seating area. A coffee machine was also available. Cool drinks in the fridge. Breakfast was delicious, individually cooked, with a wide choice. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend this hotel

A superb last minute getaway for 2 nights in the pheasant hut. Super comfy bed great copper bath and a soak tub as well as a warming log burner - what’s not to like. We did a day out walking from Saltburn to Staithes (and returned via bus back to the car)

We meet up with 3 other couples every October and have done so for 14 years, visiting hotels in England, Scotland and Ireland. This was one of the best stays we have ever had. The hotel is lovely as were all the staff, and the food first class. Breakfasts are fantastic, the stars for me were the hash browns! The 3 night bed breakfast and evening meal package was terrific value. The hotel was lovely and warm, beds were extremely comfortable, everything was spotlessly clean and there are really interesting artifacts around and wall art. Well done to everyone at Gisborough

This is a wonderful hotel, and all the staff are an absolute credit to it. Husband and I took my Mum here for a special trip. From time spent when I booked making sure my Mum got the right kind of room for her needs, to nothing being too much trouble once we were there, this place is luxurious without being stuffy. Friendly but with an old-school attention to detail and top notch service. My Mum's room was in the main house near the lift and therefore full of character, while we had a spacious and immaculate room in the newer Woodland Wing. Dinner on both nights was exceptional and breakfast was good too. Lovely to meet Lord Gisborough himself, very chipper at 97! And my husband enjoyed some post dinner whiskies from "The Safe". A perfect base from which to explore the coast around Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay. Also, despite there being weddings on both nights we were there there was no noise or disruption to the service for ordinary guests which is not always the case!! It's a long way from us but if we were EVER so much as thinking of returning to the area, this would be our first choice

Attended Gisborough Hall Hotel Revival Zone today for the first time. I’ve been having problems with back pain and a message was suggested instead of medication which had been making me feel unwell. What a delightful experience; so calming. The staff were professional and respectful and the message was amazing. I didn’t know I had so many ‘knots’ in my back but the message helped to get them out! I highly recommend it and will return for further treatment. Thank you.

Just returned from an excellent three night stay at Gisborough Hall Hotel. Amazing staff who were all so friendly and all spoke so highly of enjoying working for this local family business (special mention for Jodie in the dining room). Meals were delicious and plates presented with such an eye for detail. Our room in the Woodland wing was a large airy room with large bathroom, with lovely extra touches to add to our stay. Our one very small criticism would be that the pillows very far too soft for our liking as didn’t give enough neck support. Apart from that I would highly recommend this hotel, and will definitely plan to return soon.

We got married at Gisborough Hall this weekend, and all I can say is wow! The venue is absolutely stunning, the staff are second to none, and we couldn’t have enjoyed our day more! The suite we stayed in was a gorgeous and comfortable, and we couldn’t be happier we chose this venue! Thank you for making our day so special!

We had a 3 night Dinner, Bed and Breakfast stay at the hotel and can honestly say that there was nothing that we could find fault with. The room in the Woodland Wing, a small suite, was exceptional. The meals in Chaloners Restaurant were superb and Sophie was a great ambassador for the hotel, so helpful and friendly. We made the booking on the reviews that mentioned how good the hotel staff were and we certainly weren't disappointed. It was good to chat with Lord Gisborough too. We'll most definitely be back.

We stayed for 3 nights in Kittywake Hut. The hut was delightful, well equipped and with thoughtful attention to detail. There is plenty of cleverly designed storage space, Nespresso machine, fridge etc. It was lovely to wake up with pheasants running past the window, and soak in the Hot tub which didn’t require any pre-heating. We enjoyed some delightful walks nearby, and visiting the coast at Staithes. We ate in Chaloner’s on one night and couldn’t fault the meal or service. Hope to return soon!
