非常有歷史感的一間酒店，職員服務非常好，酒店位置非常好，外面就是舒適熱鬧的街區。只是浴室沖涼是突然沒有熱水。其他一切正常。

Great location for somewhere to stay, except for car parking The bathroom in the room was wonderful, as was the comfy bed, but the hotel is in need of some major refurbishments (carpets, curtains, walls, etc) - not modernisation but refurb

Guildford本身就4家酒店，這家超過100年歷史的老酒店位置就在高街上，但是事情的另一面就是酒店確實太老舊了，設施陳舊沒有電梯，屋裡地面都是斜坡，一不小心容易摔倒.

很好的住宿體驗，好方便，有大型商場，購物方便

Not quite sure after reading the last couple of reviews my experience was nothing at all like there’s this is the 3 rd time l have stayed here and once again everything was lovely and very clean nothing was too much trouble yes it’s old but that’s it’s character in fact cannot wait to stay again

After a very poor experience waiting for the receiptionist to turn up at the front desk (there was an uncommunicative man behind the desk eating a fried meal - I don't know who he was) I was shown to a bedroom which was filthy. An armchair in the room was so dirty I couldn't imagine putting any of my belongings down upon it. The floor was uneven, it dipped in the middle of the room so that the bed was at an angle, and the journey to the bathroom involved a slope down and a slope up. The bathroom floor had been mopped leaving tiny shreds of toilet paper all over it. The corridor leading there was filthy, I could see spiders webs and the handrail on the staircase was horribly sticky. My son had booked the room, and I asked him to cancel it immediately as I couldn't possible stay. Fortunately there was a room at a nearby hotel that night.

We stayed here on Saturday night. We were in Lord Byron’s luxury suite. A lovely big room at the top of this old building. We have stayed here before many years ago. Not in this room. It was cheaper to stay here than other hotels in Guildford. Complimentary Prosecco and sweets were a nice touch as the carpet was a bit dirty in the seating area with TV. I didn’t like being at the top of this building, not because of stairs ! A hoover was left in the hall outside our room. This was in the fire exit stairs ! We had a good greeting by the receptionist and she said the room was very quiet 🤫. No it’s not, We closed the windows, but could hear every noise outside in the alleyway, people shouting on the way home from the pub.🤫 Not a good nights 💤 sleep. We did ask before we took the room if any others were available and they were fully booked. Won’t be back…..disappointed.

This is a very special hotel and dates back to the 17th century. Masses of history, creaky floors and character. The High Street is a great location and, with it being pedestrianised, it was quiet and full of atmosphere. There was WiFi but it never worked. The WiFi from Boots nearby was possibly better. I was surprised that the restaurant (Bills) is not part of the hotel.

A nice old hotel right in the middle of the high street. Room good and the welcome pleasant. If staying I strongly suggest you ask for a room at the rear of the building. All night long vehicles unload in our case right under our window, making it impossible to sleep as the sash windows offer no sound proofing. Would I stay again - most likely not.
