Good but could improve little aspects It’s actually a palace, not a castle. We got a deluxe room and it was big and well decorated with 2 big bathrooms, one with a tub. Although it was very comfortable we noticed something weird about the toilet amenities: they are each one of a different brand and there’s no pattern. They would let a Ferragamo shampoo, a Hermès soap bar and moisturizer and a generic hand soap of low quality. Very odd. Water, coffee and tea should be offered in the room as well. Breakfast is good and the lady in charge very attentive and worked hard to provide everything we asked for but I think sometimes she could use a little help from someone in the kitchen as she was by herself and had to serve, wait on tables, clean them and reset them to other guests who kept coming and there was no one to help, which sometimes led guests waiting. The spa and swimming pool are very interesting, located on the underground of the palace and still with a beautiful view of the village below. The other common areas could be improved. The lobby is dark and not welcoming. There’s even a pool table that doesn’t make any sense in being there lol. I also give the suggestion that the main access gate have the intercom placed in a way to avoid the driver getting out of the car, in the cold and rain, to ask the receptionist to open it. Our stay was good but we left with the feeling that it was not a 5-star Relais & Chateaux property.

Average My experience in the hotel was more disappointing than pleasant. The policy of the castle insists on charging extra bed (100 euro) and baby crib (50 euro), so for a 1 night stay a family of 2 adults and 2 children is due to pay around 700-750 euro, which is much too high for a low season accommodation. Rooms are spacious and beautiful, new bathrooms, however, the doors are old and lack isolation, my daughter could fall asleep due to noise from the corridor. The team is hardworking and nice, but not enough personnel for such a huge place. For instance, in the spa and pool area (which is outstanding) there were no one to assist us at times, same situation in the bar. Breakfast was average, not special. Cigar lounge was more like a closet. Thus, the castle itself is nice but still much work is required to make it excellent.

Don’t miss out on this Hotel The views are amazing - the rooms a really cool the staff and super efficient and the hotel itself is like a step back in time - don’t miss this place it is truly amazing!

This is a truly magnificent venue. The period building, the highly individual rooms, superb spa, fabulous food and incredible wine selection make this a bucket list destination.

In albergo 5 stelle lusso deve avere un servizio adeguato al prezzo purtroppo non è stato così manca personale e servizi tipo bar ristorante - purtroppo anche i camerieri hanno confermato la nostra sensazione ma ovviamente non è colpa loro ma della direzione e inconcepibile che non ci sia nemmeno un bar attivo!

The Castello is absolutely breathtaking. The staff is super friendly and helpful, the rooms, spa and pool are impeccable. Great dinner service, huge wine selection and very attentive to kids.

We needed to leave early and the staff was ruse and uncompassionate. Charged us for the night we did not stay and took our money in 14 advance. Horrible experience while a Hurricane was occurring in Florida. I will never stay at another Chateau and relax. Be aware these are independent properties that carrier the name

Excellent service. Hotel is an old castle which made for a unique experience but some design quirks do not translate into modern conveniences. We had a patio and would’ve been thoughtful to have lounge furniture, it just had a bistro table and two chairs.
