Boutique Hotel Glacier

Recentemente, fiquei no Boutique Hotel Glacier, e foi uma experiência maravilhosa! Desde o momento que cheguei, fui recebida pela equipe amigável que me fez sentir em casa. Meu quarto era espaçoso com uma cama confortável e vistas deslumbrantes das montanhas. Passei meus dias fazendo trilhas e foi tão bom voltar para o hotel e relaxar no SPA. No geral, recomendo muito o Boutique Hotel Glacier. É a combinação perfeita de conforto, estilo e ótimo atendimento. Mal posso esperar para voltar!

Hotel Glacier would have to be our favourite ever hotel experience. The view from our room was unbelievable, the breakfast each day was the best of our time in Europe, the service was excellent and outdoor spa a special memory. If you are planning a stay in Grindelwald, try and stay at the BHG, you won’t be disappointed!

It was my second time at Hotel Glacier. The service was generally good but my first visit was better. On one of the days, I was asked if I would like to order drinks while waiting for seats at the restaurant. 10 minutes after taking my order, another wait staff asked me the same thing, to which I repeated myself. Soon after, the first wait staff came and told me that I "made things confusing" for them because they took my order twice. I felt like I was blamed when they should be ironing out orders and communicating with each other. She could have asked nicely instead of blaming me so quickly. I was polite throughout our exchanges so I don't think it was professional of her to make it sound like that. I did not pursue it as I wanted my family to enjoy the dinner. That aside, the wait staff served the rest of our dinner without hiccups. She could have had a bad day, I don't know. Apart from that incident, the hotel room was nice and the shower warm and comfortable. The balcony was the main draw as it had a beautiful view of the village and mountains. The room had whatever you need, from Rituals hand wash to speakers to comfortable bedroom slippers. It is well-insulated so you will have little disturbance. There was a good spread at breakfast and the view from the restaurant is amazing. The hotel is a few stops from Grindelwald Terminal so it would help to take note of the timing of the last bus. Otherwise, the hotel provides a shuttle to/from Grindelwald Terminal at a fee. I have also seen its staff patiently offer advice to guests, so I try not to let one incident affect my review or impression of Hotel Glacier, even though it is still a pity.

First I want to say, beautiful boutique hotel, I could sit on their balcony and just look at the beautiful valley. Outstanding breakfast selection. We had a room which faced the town - a smaller class room, but it was still plenty of room and we had lots of luggage coming from US, very spotless clean. But want I want to say is this....we had a medical emergency day two of being there, their two staff members Silas and Juliana went ABOVE and beyond anything I could have imagined to help me. It was 10:00pm at night and they were calling local doctors anything they could do it help me, I was literally in a state of pure utter panic. What could have bee a very dire situation with me ending up in an ER, well they handled this situation like pros. They saved me from what could have gone really bad and saved our vacation. This would have NEVER happened in the US two employees doing something like that. It's a top class run place and I would go back in a heartbeat!

This is a charming, lovely hotel in a perfect location. The view from our room and the dining area can only be described as spectacular and the same could be said for the entire staff, from the front desk to the servers in the dining room to the people servicing the breakfast area. Everyone was so polite and helpful and quick to answer any questions we had. Our room was spotlessly clean and had everything we could have possibly needed. Towels were changed daily although we didn’t request it. This was a great location for everything we wanted to do in the area and we appreciated the hotel not being on a main road which made it feel quiet and private. The meals we had for dinner were just great and the breakfast items were fresh, plentiful and delicious. If we ever return to Grindelwald, we wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else but the Hotel Glacier!
