The Belmont 1857

My husband and I stayed at The Belmont 1857 after visiting the BB King Museum in Indianola. The Belmont is a lovely property, beautifully maintained and comes with wonderful hospitality. Bradley welcomed us to the property, helped with luggage, and gave a very informative history of the property over a delicious breakfast.The mansion has been loving restored and each room we saw was decorated with antiques. It is a wonderful place to stay when visiting the Blues Trail in the Mississippi delta. We plan to return when visiting this area in the future!

This is a treasure of a BnB and one of my most favorites we’ve ever stayed in. Brad is exactly the kind of person who should be running such a wonderful property! He met us on arrival and showed us to our room in the Apothecary Suite behind the main house. He was also a delightful conversationalist at breakfast and during the free moments we chatted with him. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and the history of the house conversation you can sit in on after breakfast was informative and entertaining. The Belmont truly is such a gorgeous and thoughtful experience from the moment you arrive until you leave, and we would highly recommend it for anyone visiting the area!!

Brad is an excellent host and you can not beat how beautiful this plantation is! Most of the decor is original to this antebellum plantation and each room is decorated beautifully. We were in the Captain's suite and it was one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. The common areas just make you want to sit and chat over a drink and take in all the beautiful furniture and accessories. The staff that we met were so friendly and welcoming. Brad gave us a great history of the house while eating our most delicious breakfast. I would recommend this Bed and Breakfast to everyone I know!

Beautiful historical home, Brad and the rest of the staff were great. Our room was comfortable and very clean. The entire house is beautiful! Several sitting areas inside and a great screened in porch. Easy to get to from anywhere in Greenville.

My mom and I stayed at the Belmont Plantation B&B on our way to Natchez to celebrate her 90th birthday. The house and grounds are so beautiful with lots of period pieces decorating each room. Even though it is was elegant and like stepping back in time, it was also very cozy and felt like home. Brad, the owner, has done a wonderful job decorating this home. He was very friendly, informative and welcoming. Breakfast was the best we had our whole trip. It was my mom’s favorite meal on our trip. It was nice to have the ability to have a room that was on the bottom floor so my mom didn’t have to worry about the stairs. The claw foot tub in our room was perfect for my mom, who doesn’t like showers. The porches with rocking chairs were a nice touch and there was also an adorable cat named Captain, who greeted us every time we sat out on the porch. Thank you to Brad for a lovely visit. I have told all of my friends about this place and recommend this for anyone traveling through the Greenville, MS area.

Short weekend get away for an anniversary turned into an absolutely charming and wonderful experience. The home is warm and inviting. While there, we met couples from Brookhaven to Europe. Bradley Hauser and his staff were the consummate hosts. The breakfast was first class. We have stayed at inns, hotels, B&B from Europe to the Caribbean and across America and the Belmont and staff are on the top of our list. The breakfast discussions of the history of the Belmont its previous owners and architecture was very enlightening. We cant say enough about the stay!
