Our stay at The Stirling House in Greenport was absolutely flawless. Nestled on a serene, tree-lined street with a charming front porch that offers breathtaking views of the water, every detail of our visit exceeded expectations. Clay is not only a gracious host but also an exceptional chef whose warmth and hospitality made us feel truly at home. We were able to explore everything Greenport has to offer by foot, thanks to the inn's ideal location. It was an unforgettable experience, and we can't wait to return. I simply can't recommend it highly enough!

My husband and I went to Stirling House for our anniversary. This was our second stay at this B & B. I cannot say enough good things about this place. The breakfast every morning was delicious. The location is perfect, and the host could not be nicer. Homemade afternoon snack on the porch overlooking the water is a must. We will be back again. Could be our anniversary gift to ourselves each year.

We have stayed in B & B before around the world and also hotels in Greenport before but combining Stirling House with Greenport preseason in June was awesome. Clay was the perfect host. His breakfasts were truly amazing! He prides himself on his baking so expect to eat some other goodies in addition to breakfast as the day progresses. The French Room was nice because it has a small sitting area in addition to bedroom. The house is clean and quaint. The porch has a great view of the sea, one of the best views in town. You can walk to town in like 3 minutes. Clay only rents three rooms so your stay will seem private and his service attentive. We loved our time there.

5 stars for every category. Breakfast outstanding, hospitality outstanding, cleanliness outstanding, location perfect, ambiance outstanding. Clay is a great host and chef. The place is very charming and walking distance to the town.

This was our first visit to Greenport and Stirling House was the perfect place to stay. The location was perfect - peaceful and so close to everything. The afternoon snacks were great. Breakfast was served later in the morning so we missed it 2 of the mornings - but Clay left us some pastries. The 3rd morning we did have breakfast and it was amazing. If we come back to Greenport we will definitely stay here again. Thanks Clay!

Clay was a wonderful host. His home is beautiful and so well designed and decorated. Very warm and welcoming. He is an extraordinary chef. We bought his cookbook, as he is that good! Our room was lovely, quiet, and very close to everything. Clay was very knowledgeable about the town and sightseeing. We highly recommend The Stirling House.

This review is long overdue. This was our 5th time staying with Clay and as always our experience was just perfection! Clay is a gem as is his charming house. Rooms are always clean and breakfast is always to die for. Located in the heart of Greenport the house is a short walk to everything. Clay is so accommodating and warm. Checking in is a breeze and he always has great recommendations. I always feel at home here and look forward to coming back each year. I cannot say enough good things!

This was a great place to stay with old word charm. If you are looking for a quiet getaway with a beautiful view of the ocean this is it. The breakfast that we had were much better that what you could get in town. My wife and I can't wait to go back.

We’ve just returned from a three night stay here on Long Island! What can I say, absolutely amazing B&B in such a beautiful spot. Clay was a fantastic host, extremely knowledgeable and helpful and an exceptional cook, breakfast and afternoon treats exceeded expectations. If you find yourself in Greenport, we couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
