First of all, this is probably my favourite pub that I have ever visited! It is idyllic. A 16th century thatched building with all the features that you would expect. The room had real character, oak ceiling beams and wonky walls! A very comfortable bed; the pillows were plump and the towels were fluffy, which are two things so often missing in pub accommodation. The meal I had in the evening was excellent, for those who like ale the Wadsworth and guest bitters were kept crystal clear. I was travelling on business and had an early start so missed the cooked breakfast, but I was given delicious warm croissant. I will certainly use this accommodation again in the future, for both business and a leisure visit to the Cotswolds. I would recommend it, particularly for visitors from overseas who may wish to experience something quintessentially English.

Wonderful. Upon arrival I was greeted with a warm welcome and directed to my room. The place is beautiful and full of character and charm. Dinner was amazing the food is fresh well presented and delicious. Breakfast was the same with lots of choice. The room has everything you need, so comfortable and clean. USB charger on the plug. Kettle teas coffee and chocolate along with bottled water. Bathroom is quirky with lovely little touches even on the toilet roll. Parking not an issue in such a wonderful area. Highly recommended, excellent staff and would almost certainly stay again. Hopefully very soon.

So lucky to have this pub close to us. We have eaten at The Falkland Arms a few times over recent months, both for evening meals and Sunday lunches, and the food and service has always been very good. The staff are efficient and friendly, and the atmosphere is what you’d expect in a small, cosy old pub in quaint village.

I went here for dinner in early March with 12 other close friends as was staying in a farmhouse nearby. Great traditional pub, food was terrific and service was excellent. Good atmosphere and great choice of beers. Would definately recommend.

Traditional thatched pub in a beautiful setting, lovely rooms and panelled interior with a roaring fire. Excellent breakfast and good menu. Attentive and helpful staff. This place took me back in time it was so peaceful and a good base for some lovely walks around the Great Tew area.

It was a hidden gem in a beautiful quaint English village,ideal to use as a base for trips out.
We loved everything about our stay and staff were so friendly and chef was outstanding with both breakfast and dinner lovely fresh food 👏
