Misty Mountain Inn & Suites

So much to say………. My family arrived Xmas Night after traveling for 12 hours. Joanne had setup a decorated Xmas tree,complete with a bottle of wine…..waiting for us in our main suite. She picked up a huge turkey and defrosted it perfectly for us so we could have Xmas supper. Both suites were spotless…….. I could go on and on…….. Thank you. 🙏

I checked in around 3:30pm, was given my room key etc. Got to my room, and the window was open, it was -18C outside, and not much more than 5C in my room at best. Not thinking much of it, I closed the window, turned up the heat and left, as I was not returning till late, thinking the room would have plenty of time to heat up. I returned at 1:30am to a still freezing room. Barely warmer than when I had left. Thinking I was only going to be there for a few hours, I tried to tough it out. After 2hrs of trying, I finally went and slept in my truck. There was no one to call at 2am to fix this. Upon check out, I informed the lady at the desk about the issue and where I ended up sleeping. I was given an apology, offered a hot cup of coffee, and nothing more. I had no issues with the quality of the room , staff, or anything.....just no heat. My room never got above 6C the entire night, even though the heater was turned up to the max. If you stay here, make SURE the heater in the room is working, as there is no after hours number to call once the office is closed at night. Otherwise very friendly staff and nice rooms for a short stay. If there's a 'next' visit, I'll be checking the heater out as soon as I get in the room.

Bed was good, super quiet and peaceful.

Trip Just an average hotel, nice bathroom, beds not great and bedding needs an upgrade. No security lock on outside of building.

Quite clean property, fast checkin, had some trouble with tv, the maintenance man came within 10 min & fixed right away
