The check-in process went smoothly, but when we got to our room, the key didn’t work. They also only provided us with one key because they said that they didn’t own enough keys to provide people with more than one key. They are not that expensive. Buy some more. I went back down to the desk and got a new key and requested a new room because there were dogs barking nearby. He said that wasn’t possible because they were all booked up. We went up to our room again and found out that it was filthy. The toilet was dirty inside and out, the floor was dirty, the bed was dirty, it was filthy. We called the desk and requested a new room. He obliged and moved us to the other end of the hall. Another trip downstairs to get the new key. We entered the new room and it was also dirty. At this point, an hour had gone by and our supper was cold. We made another trip down the stairs to get a broom and decided to clean the room ourselves. It was disgusting. Toenail clippings on the floor, dirty socks under the bed, a can of spilled Sprite, hair in the bathroom, etc.. Despite this experience, the staff never offered to clean for us, refund our money, or provide any type of compensation.
