Hotel Porto Sofie Gottlieben

Charmant hôtel, très bien situé au bord de l’eau, dans un petit village a 3 km de Constance. Nous étions dans une grande chambre avec notre fils ( lit double + canapé lit). Tout était parfait jusque dans les moindres détails (broderies sur les coussins, carte de bienvenue, friandises et eau minérale offerte ), sans compter une excellente literie. Nous avons dîner au restaurant de l’hôtel, qui offre une cuisine simple mais gourmande et soignée .

*****HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! NO A/C I arrived to the hotel, and was informed that NONE of the rooms have air conditioned. The temperature in the room was close to 90*F (40*C) Granted, I could sleep that night INTORELABLY HOT, which made my stay a living HELL: a) extreme heat and humidity, b) light nuisance from the motion detection lamp right outside my window, c) noise disturbance from the employees slamming the garbage containers lids below, and slamming of the window shutters from building in front, d) ZERO privacy from being forced to keep the window open all night as my ONLY source of semi-fresh air. e) the room was so small, I literally had to rearrange the furniture to even be able to open my luggage. f) only 1 pillow !!, only 1 towel, seriously? g) the swamp outside is not swimable at all. Muddy along the shore, and very dangerous from constant passing of vessels. AVOID On top of it all, the hotel FRAUDULENTLY charged me a 2nd night I didn’t stay, WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE OR CONSENT, even though it was agreed I would only be staying one night! Neither less to say, I am taking action against this establishment. ***AVOID, AVOID, AVOID

Amazing hotel in picturesque location at Bodensee, Super friendly staff, specially Pablo at the reception, very solution oriented. Calm place with beautiful nature. Took a room with lake view, just amazing. Great breakfast and tasty food choices for the dinner. Very clean room, comfortable bed. Silent during the night.

Für ein Mittagessen waren wir im Porto Sofie. An einem sehr schönen Platz draussen im Innenhof, assen wir ein Zmittag und waren damit zufrieden. Der Service freundlich aber teilweise überfordert, das Essen war gut. Preis / Leistung etwas hoch.

Eine absolute Empfehlung! Das Personal ist von der Rezeption bis zum Zimmermädchen sehr herzlich, gastfreundlich und entgegenkommend; ohne Ausnahme! Vielen Dank. Die Zimmer sehr sehr sauber, das Duschbad stilvoll renoviert und mit allem, was man braucht. Einzig hatten wir, wohl dem Alter des Hauses geschuldet, etwas Mühe mit der Einstellung des Warmwassers. Das Angebot im Restaurant liess für uns keine Wünsche offen. Besonders geschmeckt hat uns auch der Kaffee, auf der Weinkarte findet man u.a. auch gute regionale Weine. Die Speisenauswahl ist vielfältig, hat für jedes Budget und jeden Hunger etwas dabei; beim Frühstücksbuffet vermissten wir frische geschnittene Früchte (Fruchtsalat), der Rest war top! Die Lage ist sensantionell, viel ruhiger geht nicht. Der Schiffssteg liegt direkt vor der Tür, was wir auch genutzt haben. Wander- und Velowege führen direkt am Hotel Porto Sofie vorbei so dass man das Auto die ganze Zeit stehen lassen könnte. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, gut erholt und empfehlen das charmante, romantische und stilvoll renovierte Haus ohne Einschränkung weiter.

The four stars are for the setting and pleasant peaceful outlook. The room was ok though the bathroom awkward and shower leaked water all over floor. Dinner was offensive really. Fish was over cooked (it was possibly frozen breaded fillets to start with) and potatoes were also half raw. We had a lovely evening with friends but don’t come for the food at all as it’s a lot to pay for below par meal. All in all a wonderful setting but don’t eat here.

Beautiful Hotel with great location on the Rhine river and amazing view. The river is so peaceful and the area is mesmerizing. The food is so good and the staff are so friendly, There is a fishing spot Infront of the hotel. We enjoyed our time there.

L’hotel è situato proprio sul lago, con terrazza/bar e poco distante c’è una piccola spiaggia libera. Questo ha permesso, dopo una calda giornata di passeggiate, di fare un tuffo rinfrescante al nostro arrivo. Abbiamo prenotato una suite vista lago che ci ha lasciate senza fiato: 2 ambienti zona letto, un bagno nuovo e luminosissimo è un piccolo studio rialzato nella torretta dell’edificio. Pulizia eccellente. Bellissima la terrazza-ristorante sul lago, sia per cene che per aperitivi. La colazione ricca con gipfel, brownies e prodotti del territorio. Completamente soddisfatta, non vedo l’ora di tornarci

Good choice if you want to stay in lovely small village Gottlieben. On Rhine route - bicycle. Beautiful maintained hotel, old house with character, good breakfast, lovely view to the Rhine or to a huge fig tree to the back of the house. Small room, no lift but otherwise nice flair. Experience receptionist.
