Sol village is one of those places that offer the authentic, rustic charm of the land built into the staying experience. The place inspires self reflection and adventure just like it's founder Sunny Singh, a widlife photographer who passionately built this place up brick by brick, landscaped and planted every tree and utilized the local workforce to build his mini-controlled wilderness in the wild. Further, Sunny arranges safaris, bonfires, pitches tents and fosters everything that I guess, stoke the call of the wild in city folks like ourselves. Listening to the stories of the forest from Sunny around a bonfire in a winters evening is an experience worth a fortune. And that was our New Years eve - crackling firewood embers for fireworks. Another plus is the Eastern range of the safari accessible from Sunny's stay is actually way less crowded and is a massive attraction for early morning bird watching. So highly recommended for your integrated Kaziranga experience!

A great place to be with friends and family…Great host…If you are looking for some offbeat places to stay in Kaziranga, then SOL VILLAGE is the place to go.The overall experience is just awesome. Bonfire during the winters is a must to do there.

Booked this property for 1 night stay and paid the 50% advance as par the demand of the owner. Though in the website it's claimed that the property is near to kaziranga forest, but in reality we had to drive 30 kms from the central zone of kaziranga. But after reaching there, faced a really unwanted situation. It was raining when we reached. The gate was locked and nobody turned up. After calling twice a person came after 15/20 minutes and told us that car has to be kept outside only (they can't take the responsibility) and we need to walk inside. He was not carrying even an umbrella and told we have to walk around 10 minutes in that rain to reach our cottage. The owner talked to us over phone in a really rude manner with full of arrogance denying everything told by him beforehand. We didn't stay there. But the owner didn't stop there, he sent me message which was again full of arrogance and he put the blame on our driver telling he misguided us.
