Our trip to Alaska started with a stay at Tundra Rose cottages. And what a wonderful way to begin our vacation ! I got a lot of brownie points from my family who were delighted by my accommodation selection. We stayed the first night at Glacier view. The happiness of staying in a very beautiful cottage with a view of the glacier ! The next day we stayed at Berries and Blossoms. Both the cottages are beautiful, the beds are very comfortable, a wide range of tea bags and excellent freshly ground coffee. Colleen was very gracious and prompt to reply to all our emails. The cottages have refrigerator and microwaves. There are no food facilities at the lodge but there are restaurants nearby. For breakfast, visit Long rifle lodge. For dinner visit Sheep mountain lodge. MICA guide is nearby too for the Matanuska glacier trip.

This is a little piece of paradise! Amazing views and the cabin was incredible. The pictures really don't do it justice. We stayed at several different cabins along our journey and this was by far the best place. I highly recommend staying here.

What’s not to like about this darling cabin nestled in the mountains. From morning coffee on the deck looking over the Matanuska Glacier, to the glow of the evening sun on the nearby mountains, this is a perfect way to experience Alaska. Excellent dinner and breakfast at the nearby Sheep Mountain Lodge. And a helicopter tour to the glacier was the high point of our stay!

We found this stay on a motorcycle ride to Alaska. The accommodations were well above our expectations. Everything we needed for our overnight stay was provided. The cottages were spacious, very clean and comfortable. The view was spectacular and the fire pit meant for a relaxing and enjoyable evening. The owner greeted us upon arrival and was very helpful. There was a nice restaurant just 5 minutes away that was quite good. Check this one out if you are in the area, I think you will be very pleased.

This CABIN / cottage is AMAZING! Truly it is the perfect cottage... it has an amazing view! A beautiful deck with high quality chairs to sit on and enjoy a glass of wine. The cottage is super clean and everything is so tastefully decorated. The BED was REALLY comfy. The bathroom is roomy and newly renovated. We were sad to leave. LOVED it and hope to return in the future.

Our precious little cabin was perfectly appointed. Spotlessly clean and every detail was covered. The views from the porch of the glacier and mountains were breathtaking. We loved the gas fireplace and fresh ground coffee beans each morning. There are spectacular hiking trails within walking distance of our cabin. Check out the helicopter glacier tour at Sheep Mountain Lodge too; it was amazing.

Absolutely beautiful cottages in quiet setting with great views of Matanuska Glacier. We stayed in two of the cottages, and both were very well appointed, spacious, clean, and comfortable. Unfortunately our schedule was such that we only had one night to stay here, but we will be back!

Highly recommended. Enjoyed our stay, everything was perfect. Wonderful to the smallest detail. Immerse in the wilderness, no sound contamination, splendid view. Will definitively return and stay longer.

We loved our stay at Tundra Rose this July. Everything was perfect. After full days of hiking on the mountain and on the glacier, our cabin was just perfect to welcome us home at the end of the day. The attention to detail was exceptional. Every hook, every outlet was perfectly placed. The little kitchenette had more than just the basics and the coffee were delicious and the tea selection outstanding. The bedding and the towels were soft luxury quality. We slept like babies. Entering the property was lovely. There are lots of beautiful flowers and lovely landscaping. There is no doubt our hosts Colleen and Dwight take pride in their lovely cottages. We decided if we ran away from home and built a cottage, we would be inspired by our beautiful stay at Tundra Rose Cottages.
