"From the moment I arrived at the Etna Hotel, the reception staff set the tone with a warm welcome and genuine helpfulness. Every question was answered with a smile, and nothing was too much trouble. I chose to eat in the hotel’s restaurant every night of my stay – and I’m so glad I did. The two people running it deserve special mention for their friendliness, attentiveness, and the consistently excellent food. The atmosphere each evening was relaxed yet refined, and the service was simply fantastic. Breakfast each morning was perfect – exactly what I needed to fuel a day of adventures, whether trekking up Mount Etna (beautifully arranged by the hotel) or taking a trip to Syracuse (again, the hotel organised my taxi to the station – Vecchio Taxis were also brilliant). As a solo traveller, it means a lot when staff engage and make you feel genuinely welcome. The entire team here were on top form, turning a good trip into a truly memorable one. My bedroom was simple but functional, with a bathroom to match – everything clean and in good working order. The pool area was immaculate, clearly cared for with real attention to detail, and the optional extras such as bike hire were a nice touch. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone at the Etna Hotel – you made my stay in Giarre unforgettable. I would return in a heartbeat! Mr Phillips Room 105"
