Straight to the point. Great location, great potential, completely ruined by staff… We stayed there for 3 nights, in room with balcony/terrace with private bathroom, breakfast and dinner. Despite private bathroom, we used shared one on ground floor in other building, as in our bathroom water was ICE COLD for the whole time… Option with breakfast and dinner… Only first one was good( despite barely warm dhal and literally cold chicken curry). Next day breakfast was ok, with omelette, freshly made bread, coffe/tea/milk, yoghurt, cereals. Next dinner similar issue/ cold paneer curry barely warm dhal… Breakfast before my trek ok, but two hours later my partner got two dead cold pancakes and something like coffe… No milk, no cereals, nothing more… Bedroom… Only 3rd(!!!) set of bed set was more less ok… One we found after check in wasn’t changed after previous guest, next two were dirty and smelled a bit odd… One day trek… My guide, nice man Babu, was ok, but to be fair, I could have done this trek on my own, without payment of 2500NPR, plus additional 3000NPR for Annapurna permit, despite our host knew I havee we only one day to do anything, and they know, that reaching area where permit is needed, is impossible ( with return to hotel)…So I have useless „souvenir „ worth $25 in my pocket… Price description is a bit diverting. In every hotel I’ve been in my life ( quiet a few), price is PER NIGHT, without additional info in brackets „per person”… All in all… As I mention great place with huge potential, seriously let down by staff and their approach. If your staff can’t provide decent service for a couple of guests during dead season, how on earth you survive during high season..? I’m a backpacker kind of traveller and if I choose place for $5 a night with only bed and bucket of water to wash, I’m happy, when I choose place for ~$40 per night, I actually do expect something worth these money… Conclusion..? Ask „hundreds of questions” and note answers before you book your stay there. Otherwise be prepared for „surprises”
