The Bob House

Everything about the resort was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where food was delicious. Great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. Resort is very close to Lake which makes atmosphere more cooler throughout. After few hours of check in staffs are no more staffs they become friends. Darren, Vincent, Raju & Abhijeet keep the good work going 👏🤗👍

Five of us friends booked a night's stay at The Bob House during the first week of June. This was our first-ever trip together (we have been a group since school days...25+ years), and so we were eager to make it happen. Furthermore, one of us was also celebrating his birthday, so it had to be special. After shortlisting a few properties, we zeroed in on this one because of some very impressive images and reviews that we found online. At the end of the trip, we came away with feelings of great elation about having made the trip happen, but some mixed feelings about the stay. A review is in order because the property truly holds great potential:- Location: The location of The Bob House is probably its biggest USP. Located about 120–130 km from Mumbai and around 21 km from the Kamshet railway station, it provides a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. Since the resort is nestled between hills on all sides and situated on the edge of the Pawana Lake (literally a walk across the road) in Lonavala, one can enjoy breathtaking views of the lake and the surrounding hills from one of the upper rooms of the resort. Location-wise, the property is also a trekker's paradise, with the Lohagad, Tikona, Visapur, and Tung forts all falling within a 20 km radius, and the Pawana Dam and Dudhiware Waterfall also in close proximity. *Word of caution: The final 3–4 km stretch of the approach road towards the resort is literally a dirt road with rough terrain, and you will probably experience a bumpy ride. But then again, you will probably not think of it as too much of a big deal once you've reached your destination. Ambience: As the name suggests, the resort has been set up pretty intelligently with the underlying theme of Bob Marley and his music. Accordingly, everything in the resort is amply bathed in the colour palette of the Rastafarian movement, viz., red, yellow, green, and black. The smart use of shipping containers for certain rooms, the vibrant colours, and the ample foliage of mango and other fruit trees add several notches to the generally positive vibe of the place. Fans of Bob Marley and reggae music will be delighted with the classics being played on loop through the course of the day. Rooms: We booked a 'Panoramic Lake View' room, which is one of the upper-level rooms. The room was a tad small for the five of us, but fairly comfortable with two queen-sized beds and a bathroom. For me, the key highlight of this room was the wooden deck/balcony (with a safety railing) outside the room, from where you can feast your eyes on the scenic beauty of the lake and of the swimming pool below. Standing on this deck in the early morning and simply staring into the distance was a cathartic experience. Welcome and Amenities: The owner personally came to usher us into the resort and direct us to our rooms, which felt nice and welcoming. He was also kind enough to allow us an early check-in since we arrived a little early. Moreover, he helped us

We are from hotel industry, my husband is a GM in one of the property in Pune, I booked the property to visit with my family to Lonavala for a day, however I had a terrible experience, non professional staff, un maintained property with no hospitality. They charge heft amount for the poor service and management. I left the property next day at 9:30 am till that time No breakfast was provided. Rooms sizes are tiny, not comfortable at all blankets and bedsheet looked dirty, Swimming pool water was not clear and dirty, I ordered their expensive dinner at 8:30 pm and it came on my table after an hour, my day was choked with hunger. I will not recommend this resort to any one.

Such a lovely place it is Bob house, I would love to be at Bob again and again. Rooms, foods every things is excellent, special thanks to the all crews , cleaning and maintenance is best. The view from room to lake is amazing

We stayed for 1 night at Bob's House & it was a great experience. Accommodation : The rooms are well equipped. Majority of the rooms have beautiful lake view from the front or the side. The views from the rooms on the higher flow are the best. The rooms & bathrooms are clean & spacious. There is in-room tea coffee facility. Property : There is ample parking space, a kiddies park with swing, slide and see-saw, a ground where you can play badminton. There is a games room with carrom, TT, pool. There is big & clean swimming pool & kiddies pool. Pawana lake is 5 min walk away. Sunset views are beautiful from there. Great view of Tung fort from the rooms and property. You can also see Tikona behind the property. This is a great place to stay and trek Tung and Tiikona in a 2 day trip. Food : While all the food served was delicious, the standout items were the barbeque chicken which was moist and succulent and misal. One has to pre-order the a-la-carte meals (other than bfast). Bfast buffet has a good variety. Buffet meal was good too and had a good variety. Service is quick. Hospitality : The crew is very friendly, helpful and make you feel at home right away. Special mention of Amir, Darren and Abhijit whom we interacted with the most.

One line review: Must for a group of friends who like to have a relaxed time near lake with good food & Music Detailed Review: Visited the place in oct 2022 with my gf. It is a great alternative if you dont want to spent the night near lake in tent on uncomfy sleeping pads. The rooms are clean and depends on the group size can accomodate visitors (upto 12 ppl in dormitory size rooms). Other than the pool, the in-house play area has a snooker table, TT, carrom, etc. Ensure to check out the photos of the place to get a glimspe of the amazing sunset view from Bob House. Pawna lake is at a 2min walking distance from this place. While road to the place is pretty messed up (for your vehicle and your back), but that's a bargain for being closest to pawna lake, and once your are there, the tiredness will wear off. Abhijit and Staff took good care during the stay. Even before the check-in they assisted with the best route as google shows a longer route to place (look for an Offroad cut to thakursai from main road) and post our check-out assisted with a broken down car. What more can one ask for?
