Anytime we come to Edinburgh, we always plan ahead to book a room at Comfort Inn. We always request adjoining rooms and in the past, it was always noted on our reservation and we were accommodated. When I made the reservations in September, I requested the adjoining rooms and was told they put a note on the reservation. Fast forward to this past weekend to check in for our stay. When we asked about adjoining rooms, Lexi at the desk said they did not have any and if I wanted them, I should have called a few days before. I have never had to do that before. Lexi also said nothing was noted on our reservation either. While she apologized, it was basically an “Oh well”. She told us that she got rooms for us as close as possible. Well, that meant across the hall, not even beside each other. If it wasn’t for the fact it was late and that my niece was traveling with us, we would have left because of that alone. While the rooms were nice, there was also a traveling baseball team staying there too. These guests were running up and down the halls, yelling, and slamming doors. I did call the front desk around 9:30 p.m. to let them know and Lexi told me that Quiet Hours started at 11 and she could give a warning, but that’s it. I understand there are set Quiet Hours, but this group was excessively loud. I’m sure other guests didn’t appreciate the noise that pretty much went on right up until 11. My family is talking about taking another trip to Edinburgh in the future, but we may be staying somewhere else, which is a shame because we always loved the service provided by this Comfort Inn location until this past weekend.
