Caldera Creta Paradise

To start when we arrived and checked in we wasn’t really told any information whatsoever about anything shortly after getting to our room we went straight to the pool as we was all so hot and just wanted to relax for an our before the pool closed, we quickly realised everyone had the same towels and had no idea where to get them I ended up asking a lady at the side of the pool. Didn’t have a clue when breakfast was or tea we just read the info on the tv in the room (not a major issue) but I thought this would all be relayed to us at reception upon check in. Before we arrived we was emailed that the waterpark wasn’t going to be complete till the 25th June and the hotel would give us an extra free night in the Italian restaurant I emailed the hotel the same day to book in advance and got no reply. When we went for tea I nipped to reception to ask if we could book these two free nights at the restaurant to be told I needed to download an app with a secret code (again wasn’t told at check in) when I went on the app to book the restaurant has no reservations for 9 days. I spoke to my rep the day after who did get it sorted for us and booked us in but I had to complain for this to happen. When we went the restaurants menu was very small and not a lot of option it is free so I get it but when your there for two nights there isn’t much to order the next night so we didn’t attend and just did the 1 night. We then went and asked on the 24th about the waterpark as we only had 2 days left of our stay and we wanted to go in the water park the last two days as this was one of the main reasons we booked to be told it was 4 weeks behind and wasn’t going to be open. Food in the main restaurant honestly is terrible hardly any of it is even luke warm, same food for dinner and tea every single day no different night no switch up and the kids section actually made me laugh when I seen it. If you like salad and cold fatty meat you’re good to go. When we booked the description said, live cooking and alsorts and I never seen any of this. If your going as a fussy eater or have a child that’s a fussy eater just be prepared to eat out a lot as there honestly isn’t much option other than chicken nuggets and chips everyday. Breakfast isn’t to bad but a lot of it I wouldn’t even pass as being breakfast. Drinks.. if your looking to get abit tipsy or even drunk honestly just go over the road to the supermarket and drink in your room because it just doesn’t happen with the drinks they serve, drinks are definitely stronger at the main bar. Entertainment honestly wasn’t to bad but it was the same songs for 15 minutes each time they came and off they went and you didn’t see them the rest of the day, music was shut off and the pool was silent the rest of the day. Kids disco was the same every single night no different songs just the exact same.
