Disappointing Front Desk Service On March 27, 2025, at around 1 PM, I encountered an unpleasant experience during checkout at Royale Chulan Hotel. I had accidentally left my room key card in the breakfast restaurant and asked a male front desk supervisor (in a black uniform with a black tie) to call and check if it was there. Instead of assisting, he simply told me that it was my responsibility to bring the key card to the front desk to avoid an RM20 charge. His response was dismissive and lacked professionalism. A well-trained supervisor should handle guest concerns with proper manners and a helpful attitude. This experience left a negative impression of the hotel's service quality.

I had a wonderful stay at Royale Chulan Penang. The room was spacious and elegant, truly living up to its name. The Sahur meal had a great variety of delicious options, making it a satisfying experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring a smooth and comfortable stay. Overall, a fantastic hotel with great service, good food, and a royal touch. Highly recommended!

The service attitude is very good, and the layout of the room is also very distinctive.

舊酒店,內部看得出已經翻新,但房間很多設施好像沒有保養維修,洗澡時的水湧出外面,洗完澡外面一灘水,希望酒店能夠檢查房間沖涼房花灑頭水龍頭的運作,早餐食物品種還可以,遇到問題時員工可以即時提供協助,性在地點好,下次還會再住！

Location is great and room is spacious

Stay for night. Check in a bit late around 1030pm. Request for late check out around 1pm but the hotel just ignores my request and the reason the hotel is fully booked

Un peu cher pour la qualité mais ce sont les prix locaux. Petit déjeuner très varié et salle de sport correcte, tout comme la piscine !

Great breakfast; very clean room and excellent customer service. Only downside is not a lot of parking; the outside facade misleading: once you get in, it’s 5 star hotel, almost. Will be back for sure. Loved the heritage feeling.

Rooms is excellent...First time staying in this hotel and I am satisfied with the room. And I will return to this hotel if I go to Penang again.
