We booked a 3-night stay at this hotel in Penang, but had a very disappointing experience even before checking in. As residents in Kuala Lumpur, we travel frequently and carry digital copies of our passports. Unfortunately, the hotel was completely inflexible and refused to accept our valid PDF version, insisting on a physical copy. Despite explaining our situation, they showed zero understanding or willingness to help.
What made it worse was their unhelpful attitude — they wouldn’t even consider a partial refund and instead coldly suggested that we fly back to KL just to retrieve our physical passport. Absolutely unempathetic.
Travelers, especially those familiar with digital documentation, be warned — this hotel offers no flexibility.
