We recently stayed at Oubaai Hotel, expecting a relaxing getaway, but unfortunately, our experience was far from enjoyable. Upon arrival, we found that the air-conditioning in our room was not working. Maintenance attempted to fix it, but the issue remained unresolved. We were then offered alternative rooms, only to discover that the air-conditioning in those rooms was also faulty. With no comfortable solution provided, we had no choice but to cut our trip short and drive four hours back home— completely ruining what was supposed to be a pleasant stay. Considering that proper cooling is a basic expectation at a resort of this caliber, it was incredibly disappointing to encounter this issue across multiple rooms. Adding to our frustration, we have two vouchers for future stays, but after this experience, we no longer look forward to using them. We have visited Oubaai Hotel four times before and always appreciated the quality of service, but we were informed that new management has taken over. If this is a reflection of the new standards, it is deeply concerning. We sincerely hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously and improves its facilities and service. Until then, we cannot recommend staying here.
