IT DOESN'T GET BETTER THIS - DAS CENTRAL HOTEL SOLDEN AUSTRIA Total 5 star plus luxury. Unbelievably beautiful accommodation, public room and out of this world recently constructed rooftop outdoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, spa and bar. I have been going to Das Central for decades and every time I leave say "it doesn't get better than this", well it does, the Das Central team continue to make changes moving with the times to make sure this hotel is the best in Austria. The food in the evening is amazing and cooked by a Michelin Star chef and his team. I was at the hotel in January 2025 and returned in April 2025 to celebrate my significant birthday, all staff were so friendly, efficient and helpful arranging special props for our table and a few extras. I can go on and on praising Das Central Hotel, the staff at all levels in this hotel are so lovely, friendly and professional with no request too much. If you are looking for luxury in a relaxed friendly environment DAS CENTRAL HOTEL SOLDEN is the place for you. I highly recommend it.

Zentrale und trotzdem ruhige Lage (mit Shuttle-Service zur Gaislachkogelbahn), wunderschöner Infinity-Pool mit Blick über Sölden, neuer SPA-Bereich, gemütliche Bar, durchwegs freundliches und gut gelauntes Personal. Räumlichkeiten und Essen waren ausgezeichnet (lediglich der abschliessende Espresso konnte hier nicht mithalten), die umfangreiche Käseecke mit den gekühlten Schubladen ein Highlight. Unsere Suite (erste Etage) im alpin-modernen Stil, war ruhig und licht-durchflutet, mit getrenntem WC und 2 Waschbecken ausgestattet. Von der (kurzfristigen) Buchung bis zum Auschecken hat alles einwandfrei geklappt.

This hotel is, as the name suggests, right in the middle of Sölden. The reception staff were very helpful at check in. The bedrooms and bathrooms were modern and very restful with Nespresso machines and replenished capsules. The restaurant was wonderful for breakfast and dinner. A wonderful salad bar followed by 7 courses. There is now also a Michelin starred restaurant but we didn’t try this on this stay. There are two spa areas, the most modern one is on the higher floors with a beautiful pool and outdoors whirlpool. There are saunas with beautiful views. This one is clothed and also allows children. On the lower floors there is the original spa which is “ textile free” and adults only. Both have sauna rituals. We used both every day. We also had fabulous massages with Johanna and a brilliant facial with Anna. For skiers there is an incredible minibus service which takes you and picks you up from any ski location in Sölden. An excellent stay and would highly recommend .

Back to the Das Central during mid term for the 4th time over the years. Writing another review now as they have renovated and opened a new roof top spa with out door heated pool, huge whirl pool area new saunas with incredible views , and a fabulous wellness / massage treatment area. On arrival that lovely warm welcome still awaits and you are enveloped into the embrace of the Das Central family . The reception team are just fantastic, they never tired of our constant requests, airport transfers, ski lessons booked ( ski passes available here as well which makes the whole thing a lot easier ) , restaurants on the slopes arranged for Lunch - do not miss the Wirtshaus, Falcon and best of all the Ice Cube – I did not think it was possible that the Ice Cube could improve any more, but it has - sublime. The 2017 Pino 3000 is drinking really well now - try it Once more the breakfast buffet impressed, it is one of the best I have ever seen and the juicing room as ever is a joy. It was great to see that the same staff were here again to look after us. Some names escape me but there was Martin in the restaurant Sandra of course what a great lady, Marie, Josef, Kathrin, Renate, Anna Katharina and the team in reception. The bar team are just incredible but again names escape me. Andrea in Housekeeping, Lordan and Joseph driving the ski shuttle bus, the list goes on , so to all the team thank you once more, we will be back

Das Hotel Central sticht wirklich heraus und macht Vieles noch ein bisschen besser als andere Häuser dieser Kategorie! Doch besonders der Service und Speisen sind herausragend! Leider sind vielen Besuchern die normalen Sauna-Regeln nicht bekannt. Diese sollten dringend ausgehängt und vieleicht auch beim Check-In erläutert werden. Denn die Mitnahme von Getränken in den Sauna-Aufguss und das Betreten der Saune während des Aufgusses sind absolute No-Gos. Hier scheinen Gäste aus England und Asian vollkommen unwissend zu sein, was mir durchaus teilweisendie Freuden beim Aufguss genommen hat. Das sit sehr schade, denn die Wellness-Bereiche (neu im 5.OG und älterer Teil im UG) sind sehr schön gemacht. Doch ich denke mit Aushang der Regeln udn Erläuterung wäre das lösbar. Doch wenn man die laute, sauna-unwissende und teilweise störende Meute vermieden bekommt (Chancen im UG sind größer) dann lässt sich auch im Wellnessbereich gut entspannen. Das muss das Hotel vermutlich noch seinen Weg finden. Und dennoch ist das gesamte Haus jederzeit bemüht dem Gast einen tollen Aufenthalt zu ermöglich. Extrem tolöer Service und herausragendes Essen (besonders beim Abend-Menü). Serh gute Weinkarte! Gute Fitnessräume und prima Skiraum. Somit kann man dieses Haus nur wärmstens empfehlen. Ein spitzen Haus, das sixh durchaus auch mit den besten Häusern in St.Moritz messen kann. Vielen Dank für Ihre Mühe und die tollen Tage. Honestly one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in. We went for Christmas and couldn’t have asked for more. The rooms were immaculate, the spa and facilities are so well looked after. The ski lockers are a good size with lots of space to get boots on and get ready to head out. The transfers to and from the foot of the slopes were excellent. The dining was such an experience, Christmas Eve was such a special evening. The food was delicious. All in all a most excellent stay and one I’d love to repeat. Thanks you to all at Das Central.
