This hotel is a disaster! I had inadvertently booked the wrong date for check in. **** happens. Takes 3 1/2 hours to get to Gatlinburg from Nashville. We arrived around 10:30pm and it was a spur of the moment, short get away. I had originally booked a king jacuzzi suite. Well apparently they didn’t have any other rooms but 1 standard queen size pet friendly room across the street! It was nasty! Needed remodeled badly! But I took it on the chin because I had booked the wrong night. That wasn’t my complaint. My complaint was I had paid for a King Jacuzzi Suite and ended up with a standard Queen. When I asked for a partial refund (the difference) the hotel out right refused. I’ve stayed with Sidney James several times and for over 20 years. My family has used them for our weddings we have had in Gatlinburg, we have always loved them. But after this. None of us will ever stay with them again. I should have been refunded the difference between a King Jacuzzi suite and a standard Queen especially when you can get a standard Queen for roughly 70 bucks and I paid 140.00. Needless to say we left at 9am that morning because I have asthma and I couldn’t breathe in that room anyways! We will never return and I would advise anyone to RUN to another hotel asap because this one has went down hill and nobody that works there even cares!
