Lovely stay for Easter. Very warm welcome, room was spotless and a great size, particularly the bathroom. The bed was incredibly comfy. Breakfast was tasty and every request was met with a smile. We will definitely return next time we are in this area.

Excellent well maintained hotel with comfortable spacious rooms, very good food and a beer garden in great location by the river in Gatehouse-of-Fleet Staff friendly and efficient. Thoroughly recommended for a stay while exploring Dumfriess and Galloway

Lovely hotel! The staff and management could not do enough for us. The room was clean and comfortable. The only thing I could pick at would be then heating system that was quite hard to control. The Gatehouse of Fleet is a lovely village such friendly people and fantastic countryside on the doorstep. We would definitely return to this hotel and highly recommend.

Had a short break down here this week and thoroughly enjoyed it. The owners, Jonathan and Sarah moved here a few years ago as they loved the place, and we could see exactly why. It's a beautiful location and this hotel/inn is just perfect. We had a huge room (number 10), which was extremely comfortable and quiet. We ate in the restaurant each evening and couldn't fault it. The menu was varied and a gluten free diet was well catered for. The staff were so helpful and friendly - obviously well trained. The decor all looked fresh and very tasteful. Also, if the weather is good, the beer garden is the perfect place to relax - just down by the river. We are so glad we visited and we will definitely be back.

Had a 2night stay and had a quiet peaceful and lovely stay, our room was clean, fresh, and comfortable.Great bed and ticked all the boxes, and the beer garden is a great addition to just sit and chill out. Nothing more to be said just a really pleasent stay.

Very comfortable. Friendly helpful staff. Good base for exploring the area. Very scenic and good for wildlife. Also went to Dumfries House which is quite a way but well worth it. Although the hotel is on a corner in the middle of the village there is very little traffic noise.

We had a lovely 6 night stay. The staff were a real asset, helpful and friendly. They dealt with a dairy intolerance very capably and the evening meals were of a good quality. We enjoyed the ambiance of the log burner when it was lit. The cooked breakfast was very substantial and tasty and set us up for the day! Room was good size and very comfortable with modern bathroom with shower and welcome bath after a day's walking. Ship Inn set in a very pleasant village with a couple of other excellent places to eat as well.

Had 2 wonderful nights in your fabulous accommodation in our favourite Scottish hidden gem Gatehouse of Fleet. Excellent friendly and helpful staff and fabulous food as part of my 60th Birthday get together with Gatehouse friends. Will definitely be back soon
