The Herons Rest Townhouse B&B

We really enjoyed our stay in Galway, and our accommodation at the Herons Rest was perfect. We were delighted to discover some thoughtful touches like local jam and butter in the fridge, and a loaf of bread from a nearby bakery. The downstairs is living space with a sofa and chairs, and a kitchen with bar seats. The kitchen is well appointed, with all you need to make a simple meal. The upstairs is the bedroom and bathroom. There is plenty of space to put your luggage and hang clothing. The location is really the best--just steps from the rushing Corrib river and the Latin Quarter, and an easy walk to the town center and train station

Great location within walking distance of everything. Spacious house overlooking the water, wonderful breakfast food basket provided by the hosts. Hope to go back to Heron’s Rest on our next visit to Galway

The Heron's Rest Townhouse is a gem in the shamrock of Galway; minutes away from the Spanish Arch, Galway City Museum, and the Latin Quarter- but proximity is only the tip of the iceberg to staying here. The apartment is four floors and immaculate in terms of cleanliness and stocked full of amenities. To name a few: Projector on the fourth floor to conduct a movie night using your own streaming services; a shelf library and reading area to catch up on all your Irish Literary icons; a fully stocked kitchen with utensils, dishes, cutlery, and pans; food and beverages including juice and milk, eggs, condiments, charcuterie items such as Smoked Salmon, Irish Cheese, Bread, granola, and cherry tomatoes. I made open-faced Smoked Salmon and Tomato Tartines for breakfast with their specialty select items- so good! Instructions are provided for all of the logistics in terms of parking, as well as appliances through their own App which you can download to your phone. If you are the next guest to stay here-- you will agree with me -- that it is tantamount to finding a four leaf clover in the heather on the hill-- you are super lucky and you will not regret it-- and the memories you produce within this haven of an accommodation will be indelible.

Prachtige locatie aan de rand van het centrum van Galway. Warm welkom van de eigenaren door een variatie aan lekkernijen uit de buurt. Alles op loopafstand, auto kun je parkeren op eigen parkeerplaats in de garage. Latin Quarter, de haven. Galway is prachtig zelfs in de herfst…

Una estancia muy agradable gracias a la comodidad de la casa, por sus instalaciones y la cercanía del centro de la ciudad. El desayuno que teníamos era muy completo. Unas vistas envidiable a la bahía y una zona muy tranquila. Las casas de colores son patrimonio de la ciudad.

Great place, best location Galway. Very clean and well equipped. Very nice breakfast basket. Nice views of the river and Spanish Arch. Would stay again. Very responsive host. Definitely recommend reserving the parking spaces. Eeeeeeeeeeeeee
