Kenyaways

After staying here I’m done with the larger hotels and say goodbye to volley ball in the pool and music for most of the day! Here it’s peaceful with everything I could want or need. It’s right on the beach, has sun beds, a small pool and the professionally run and reasonably priced Salty Squid restaurant/coffee/bar. The rooms are very clean, have toiletries, beach towels, mosquito nets, Wi-Fi and outside seating areas. I was given a candle lamp to use for added atmosphere at dusk. Rooms at the top front are very desirable as have the use of a small kitchen - fridge/freezer ideal for ice to put in drinks or preparing the odd snack if required as well as an exquisite view. Keep windows and doors closed if not around or the monkeys may pay you a visit! The beach is quiet here being away from the larger hotels with long stretches to walk along in the morning. Perfect.

Parfait pour un séjour balnéaire sur la côte kenyane, tout près de Diani. Personnel aux petits soins, d'une grande gentillesse et d'une super efficacité. Chambres confortables et spacieuses. Transats sous les palmiers, face à l'océan pour se reposer en toute quiétude. Petit-déjeuner copieux, varié, complet et de très bonne qualité, servi au restaurant sur le site.

The so called pool room l was in, stank of mold. Was told l would be moved, three days later was offered the room nextdoor which was equally dank. On the 4th morning the room flooded (guess I know why it stinks of mold) and after repeated requests someone finally came to clean it. I checked out the next day, Earlier than my booking. Found a place on airbnb for 25% cheaper & 100% nicer. Go elsewhere! Ps; have uploaded a pic of my shower so you can see what it really looks like NOT the pics they have online.

The absolute best part of Kenaways is the location! Practically right on pristine beach and next door (literally mere steps) to my favourite restaurant, the Salty Squid. The staff were all exceptional as well (although it was often hard to find someone at reception). I did dock a star because we felt the room we had was more rustic and smaller than the photos depicted, and the bathroom (primarily the shower) really needs some renovating. Otherwise a lovely stay.

We enjoyed our stay here at Kenyaways. Our family stayed in the Bandit room which had a good vibe with rustic charm as advertised. The open living room was nice but you should be comfortable with some bugs and the occasional monkey peeking in, it can also be a bit wet during the heavy rains if the wind is blowing. The staff was great and helpful with anything we needed including day tours. The housekeeping staff was very friendly and kept things fresh daily. One of the best parts was the restaurant as the food was excellent and reasonably priced with friendly staff. It is also right on the beach which was beautiful. We would stay again at Kenyaways but would book an enclosed room next time. Overall we enjoyed our time there.

Hôtel très charmant et agréable avec la superbe plage de Diani Beach juste à côté. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour la bas. Nous étions dans la chambre Park. Les + - Restaurant incroyable petite mention pour le petit dej qui est délicieux et sain. - plage sublime et chaises longue très confortable (on ne doit pas se battre pour en avoir une il y en a suffisamment pour tous les clients de l’hôtel) - hôtel authentique et original qui ne cherche pas à fournir des prestations qu’ils ne maîtrisent pas. - deco de l’hôtel très jolie. - juste à côté de l’école de Kitesurf H2O une mention à Evelyn qui a été une prof incroyable pour débuter ce sport. - tres bonne hygiène - personnel très accueillant Les - - manque une porte pour séparer la sdb de la chambre (il y a juste un rideau) - manque un sèche cheveux dans la chambre - pas de wifi en chambre mais il y a du réseau nous avons acheté une carte SIM - le cappuccino et l’eau sont en supplément dans le petit dej je trouve dommage même si ça coûte vraiment pas cher - la piscine est toute petite et ne donne pas très envie. Malgré les quelques moins, l’hôtel est fabuleux. Je le recommande vivement et pourtant je suis très exigeante 😅. Foncez vous allez adorer
