Food was good, service was poor. Had to ask for an iron twice. Location was isolated. It is undergoing a renovation, which was very disruptive.

The breakfast needs to be changed everyday ! Same breakfast for 3 days becomes boring

• Dieses Hotel zu bewerten ist ganz einfach. In allen Bereichen 5 Sterne. Einfach super. Besonders hervorzuheben bleibt der Service. Danke an Mr. Duminda. Mr. Duminda hat seine Berufung gefunden. Mit seiner Freundlichkeit, seiner Hilfsbereitschaft, seinem Engagement ueber den langen Tag hinweg, einfach einzigartig. Mr. Duminda verbreitet im ganzen Restaurant eine positive Stimmung. Nochmals vielen Dank an Mr. Duminda für eine tolle Zeit im Heritance. Wir kommen wieder.

Heritage Hotel Ahungalla. A hotel that presents itself as 5 stars, but unfortunately, after my experience there, I can barely give it 3 stars. The location is wonderful, green in abundance and the animals and birds are in their natural habitat. It sounds like it was a dream vacation. Unfortunately it wasn't. There are people on staff who do the right thing because they have to. Then there are the staff people who do what they do for the tip. And there are dedicated people who do everything in their power to make you feel welcome. The room was fine although the furniture is old. The shower door was moldy and one of the hinges was almost out of the wall. And yet thanks to ROMESH, the guy who cleaned every day, I got over how the room looked. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ROMESH, for your dedication and for all the animals made daily from towels but especially for the flowers you brought me and thus made the room look welcoming. Let's talk about food. I knew that we were going to Asia and that the food was very hot and spicy there. It would be fine as long as those dishes were marked as spicy. They only marked the dishes that contained chili as spicy. The vegetables were al dente to raw, the pasta was almost uncooked, and the other types of stews were swimming in oil. When i asked the person who was serving there about correct etiquette, he replied that it was just a little spicy ,not understanding that due to a health problem I am not allowed to eat spicy at all. Thanks to miss JAYARU, who got in touch with the head chef Mr. HISHAM, I had something to eat for the rest of the stay. About these two people, miss JAYARU and Mr. Chef HISHAM, I can say that they are the 5 star people in this hotel. Thank you for putting up with my complaints, showing me understanding and I apologize for all the trouble I gave you. I would like to congratulate the head pastry chef NUWAN for the best bread and delicious sweets. As for the main bar staff, some move faster, others only if they get a tip. So thank you for all the drinks you served me: SHANIKA, KAWESHA, RAAWESHA, THARUSHA, THULITHA. The bar at the 2nd pool at the back, the one at the rooms, was always closed with no one there. If you wanted something to drink, you had to go to the front, to the big bar, so you had to walk 3 minutes for a drink. Several times VISAL came and stayed there, bringing us drinks from the other bar. Thank you VISAL for all the trips made. Another dissatisfaction was the lack of an animation team. There was a boy who did aqua gymnastics in the morning and a boy who held the yoga sessions. And that's about it. The evenings were very boring although there was live music every night. The problem with these singers was that they all had the same playlist. Old music from the 70s-80s. So boring as hell. Since it was not possible to swim in the ocean, we had to stay at the pool. Stayed at this hotel with a French incentive of 55 persons for six nights in January 2025. Though the hotel looks a little tired, it's an absolute gem on the Ahungalla beach. Service, food, and staff are extraordinary. Each and every staff member of the hotel made us much more comfortable than we expected right throughout. Finally, we made our event successful, and guests returned to France with wonderful memories.
