Fairfield Inn & Suites Gainesville I-75

We booked this hotel for 3 nights to ride out hurricane Milton. We ended up there for a week. It was clean, comfortable snd convenient to many restaurants. But, honestly, the staff was the best part! In a very difficult time, they were friendly, helpful and kind! Mosie (I think that’s her name), in the breakfast service, was a ray of sunshine in a very dark time! Thank you all!

Very good service from both ladies running breakfast. Room was nice hotel did a good job making gameday fun. Breakfast food was very solid no complaints here. Close to campus now hard to get around in a very nice area. Staff is accommodating.

We stayed the night here on our way back to Nashville. My sister in one of the beds woke up in the night feeling crawly. Took a shower that woke me and my other sister up. She had bites all over her. We all showered and had bites at 3:30 am. Went down and told the agent. He had no clue. We wanted someone to come look at our bites but he had no one he said and manager would not be there till 9. We left at 5:30 and i told him to have the manager cash me asap. I also emailed the manager with pictures of my sisters bites. That was Saturday morning and it is now Monday. Have not heard a word from him. Called customer care. No response because it was the weekend. I am beyond mad! We have probably brought them home. We all have lots of bad bites! We tryed buying sprays and doing everything we could try to not bring them in our homes. But who knows! I am so disappointed in Marriott for the response!!

Stayed here overnight with my son while visiting his older brother who is a student. When I wandered down to the lobby, Jason who was the overnight desk clerk volunteered to make me a fresh pot of coffee and brought some fruit. Definately above and beyond service.

We had a reservation at this hotel and we were given a room with a clearly dysfunctional air conditioning unit, which was so loud we couldn’t talk over it. We asked for another room and we were told that since we were using our Marriott lifetime, titanium, elite award, and we were not a “paying” customer, that we could not be transferred to a different room. I know that Marriott only manages all of these hotels, but the value of having spent many hundreds of nights in Marriott has suddenly plummeted to ZERO value. It was insulting to be told that I could not move because everyone else had “paid“ for their room. The manager of this hotel was “unavailable“ and not reachable until the next day. We left this hotel and will not ever return. 45 years of business use of Marriotts was worth nothing. My advice to current business travelers is not to limit yourself to Marriott brand - there is no benefit to your loyalty to this brand.

Decided to stay to avoid Hurricane Debby. Wonderfully clean, spacious hotel. Clearly designed for access as hallways and rooms are large and roomy. Staff are lovely especially Monse, who manages breakfast. Never been catered too so much at a hotel breakfast. She’s a gem! Great location.

Such a lovely hotel! Front desk always friendly. Fairfield- Always our favorite when visiting Gainesville. Super Clean, comfy and spacious rooms. The morning breakfast buffet is fabulous, especially because of Marisol and Monse, the AM buffet attendants. They are an absolute delight as they greet you in the morning. They are so kind and so accommodating and make us feel so welcome. Marisol and Monse are so dedicated, and no request is left undone. They go above and beyond service! Thank you Marriott for always having the best!

My reservations are always spot on, and I hate to stay anywhere else when traveling to Gainesville. Rooms incredibly clean and very modern. Mitch the bartender always makes me feel welcome. He actually says, “Welcome home my friend.” Dont stay anywhere else.

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites on 4 occasions in January and February while in Gainesville for medical visits to Shands hospital. The quality of our stays was the same for each visit so this review is taking them all into consideration; we were there on both weekday and weekend nights. The lobby area is open and spacious; the breakfast/bar area has plenty of seating. The ladies that handle the complimentary breakfast are fantastic; they keep the food supplied, tables wiped off, and assist with whatever you need. We stayed in four different 2Q rooms on multiple floors, and each room was clean, fresh, and everything in working order. The beds were comfortable; if you want an extra blanket, you can get one from the front desk. The in-room air conditioner/heater worked well and had the option for continuous fan so if you prefer the white noise / air flow, this is a good option. There is a large television on the wall that comes with Pluto TV and YouTube as well as the ability to log into streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime in addition to the usual cable channels for the area. The bathroom is well lit with plenty of counter space. The bathtub is a low entry so it makes it easier for getting in and out of, and the shower curtain is on a curved bar so you have more room. They have body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in large dispensers in the shower, and provide a small bar of soap by the sink. There is a small refrigerator and microwave available for use. They leave the light on over the microwave when you enter the room; we had a hard time figuring out how to turn it off the first time; it's a flipswitch on the light itself - we just couldn't see it! The parking lot is well lit, and because the hotel is on a side street off Archer Road, it's easier to get in and out of the parking lot than onto a busy road. There are a few restaurants you can walk to without having to cross Archer, too. The pool area is nice; of course it was too cool for swimming in January/February, but we did enjoy sitting out by the gas firepit which is available for guest use. They have coffee / hot chocolate available 24-hours, so it was nice to have a hot beverage while relaxing. There are a couple of styles of luggage carts available for guest usage. There are two elevators. The hotel was fully booked each time we stayed, so we were not able to check in much before 3 PM, but we were allowed to pre-register and they got our keys to us as quickly as possible. While we made our reservations online, we did inquire about hospital rates for each of our stays; two out of the four times, the online rate was better than the hospital rate, but it's worth asking if you are there for medical services.
