Legassi Gardens Apartments

Recently stayed at Legassi Gardens April 2024 for the 2nd year and must apologise as I should have written a review back in April ’2023 when I initial come over. Any I had the pleasure of staying in this amazing place recommended by a family member it did not disappoint me. Considering I am from the UK and lived in London my entire life the closest I have come to real nature is when I visited the zoo as a child. Situation in lush gardens you would never believe you are less than a minutes’ drive from the motorway and within 20 minutes of Accra Mall and many other amenities. The owners are very friendly and accommodating and could not do enough to assistance me during my stay. They are vegetarian/ Vegan but provide cooking facilities within the apartments should you require a meat-based option or just to provide for yourself. I enjoyed my stay so much in 2023 that I returned April ’24 and had the benefit of the new rooftop terrace which provided some much-needed shade while taking in the amazing view during the day and in the evening or just to sit and relax which I did on a few days and evening. Apartments are a lovely simple layout and provides all that is needed to make your stay comfortable. Had a totally relaxing and chilled out stay wonderful hospitality in great surrounding this place has the lot, may even have to consider another return visit in 2025!!

I stayed for a week with my husband and daughter. Our first family trip to Africa and certainly not the last one. We had such a beautiful experience that we are already thinking about another trip in the future. It felt like being welcome and guided by family. All the visits and activities were tailored to our interests. We learned a lot, felt a lot and now dream a lot. The morning yoga practice and discussion, the evening journaling were steps that kept us grounded and helped us process everything we were experiencing everyday. The food from the cafe was delicious and the staff extremely helpful. Everyone was very welcoming and it felt like it was a common goal to make our stay memorable. The whole experience was extremely inspiring. I will never forget the view on the rooftop, the singing birds in the morning, the fresh river water on my feet at the village, the flags and Kwame Nkrumah portraits everywhere, the rich history, the "welcome, you are home" repeated to us so many times. My heart is full.
