During my stay at Ocean Pearl in Fuvahmulah, Maldives, I had a truly wonderful experience. It was an absolute pleasure to be there. The hotel owner and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to assist us, always finding solutions to any issues and ensuring we felt safe and well taken care of. Their hospitality and dedication to making our stay comfortable were truly remarkable. We are extremely grateful for their kindness and support. My week was spent scuba diving under the guidance of Shumi and Thahmeen with the rest of the long standing local team at 'Scuba Butler', who were truly outstanding. Using the best dive boat on the island, provided with excellent equipment supported by their wealth of experience in luxury live aboards, diving instruction, running exclusive resorts to their local knowledge - 'Scuba Butler' is your one stop shop for diving in Fuvahmulah, Maldives. The Ocean Pearl Fuvahmulah is a new hotel that opened at the end of October 2024, in the Deep South of the Maldives. This is a comprehensive review, so please bear with me. The hotel itself is beautiful! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Housekeeping did a wonderful job, the WiFi is strong, but you have to obtain the WiFi password from the front desk. Farhan and Ramone at the front desk are kind and hospitable. Mr. Ashan at the onsite restaurant is a prime reason that I loved this hotel. He consistently provided stellar customer service and he has the patience of a saint. There is a mosque near the hotel, but the sounds of the five-time- daily Call to Prayer are not overpowering. I love that there are no TVs in the hotel rooms, and the HVAC works well in the room. Everything is new within the hotel room, and barely used. The hotel rooms are quiet and you cannot hear others in the adjacent rooms. The pool is on the 7th floor, pool staff is good and they provide pool towels on the four pool loungers. The location to the Fuvahmulah Central Dive is unbeatable, as it is only 50 meters from the hotel. The dive center should add the Ocean Pearl Fuvahmulah as a recommended hotel to their website. Hotel Suggestions, in no particular order. Hotel staff should wear name tags. Add Use the Stairs sign outside the door of the solo elevator. Staff should welcome guests at all times, and staff should introduce their selves to guests. Add Do Not Disturb/Housekeeping signs to hang from the doorknob of each hotel room. Add the direct telephone number to the landline telephones in each hotel room. Add the Lobby sign next to the G-button in the elevator. Add Pool sign next to the 7-button in the elevator. Add elevator certificate inside the elevator. Hot water in the shower is virtually nonexistent. At the time of my stay, the hotel was working to resolve that issue. Install full-length mirror outside the wall of the bathroom. Install two towel hooks behind the bathroom door. There are no towel racks or towel hooks in the bathroom. Staff should wear uniforms, or at least shirts identifying them as hotel staff.

From the minute we arrived we were impressed by this wonderful place. Our room was immaculate and had a stunning view of Fuvahmulah. The rooftop pool is also the perfect place to watch the sunset and relax after a day of diving and exploring. The hotel is conveniently located close to the beach, shops, central dive centre and the bank. The food at the restaurant was delicious and we were served very generous portions. They also catered for my dietary requirements with no hassle. The absolute best part about our stay was the staff - they went above and beyond at every opportunity to make our stay enjoyable and relaxing. They were so incredibly friendly and took time to make sure we had everything we needed each day. Every thing was so organised and efficient - it’s hard to believe this hotel has only been open for a short time! We highly recommend.
