Excellent pools, restaurants and bars. Gardens are beautiful. You can also access the neighboring Royal Savoy resort with sea access.

Terrible customer service / experience - especially from the reservations team and all around. Please can your team have training on delivering the required customer experience from other parts of the world if you intend to market yourself as an upper end luxury hotel.

The design and interiors are exceptionally luxurious. Drawbacks: 1. Pool is not heated in summer time 2. 5 days in the beginning of June - buffet dinner restaurant is closed. 3. All the service and cooking in restaurants is very slow. You always need to wait. Any lunch or dinner will not take you less than 1.5 hours. 4. Annoying room service. In the morning they wake you up to clean the room, then they come to bring you water, then for turndown service (just 2 sweets), then for something else. It never ends. Bring everything in 1 visit? Not possible

The best hotel in Madeira

Excellent hotel with excellent facilities and location. The breakfast is was amazing too. This hotel really is as good as most reviews suggest.

Everything was fantastic, hotel location, services and design of the hotel. I enjoyed the 2 nights there. Unfortunately the welcoming was not good for me as I waited for 3 hours and 20 minutes. Yes I came early before the check in time which is 2 Pm and I came at 11:50 and the front deck staff ( Eduard ) confirm to me that my room will be ready at 2 pm but till 3:10 pm only I got to my room after I esclate my issue to the front deck manager ( Peter ), the problem was not about the time I lost, but the attitude of front deck staff as he is looking to my face multiple times and he didn’t come to say sorry that your room not yet ready just to apologizing…

Great place in the heart of Funchal. Everything at walking distance. Great see view. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

En términos generales esta bien. El desayuno muy bueno. No corresponde a un 5 estrellas de españa ni de lejos.. Con el precio que tiene me parece abusivo que no se incluya el spa, ni las camas balinesas ni el parking !!! . Todo lo cobran adicionalmente. No hay servicio de piscina, tienes que levantarte a pedir bebida y comida si estás en la zona de la piscina. Sin embargo sí que tienen personal para pasearse con donuts para vender en las tumbonas de la piscina a precios de broma.
