The Reserve - the Leading Hotels of the World - Savoy Signature

My wife and I spent three days at The Reserve as part of our honeymoon, and we were blown away by the level of service that we received during our stay. From the moment we arrived, we had a Personal Assistant to welcome us and show us around the hotel. We were able to contact her via WhatsApp, obtaining details about local events and places of interest as well as facilities at the hotel, such as the private pool and restaurant at the Jacarandá Club on the top floor, accessible only to guests of The Reserve. When we needed anything at all (which included forgotten items left at the sister hotel Saccharum, a late-night adjustment to the air conditioning, and translation to liaise with another restaurant in Funchal), the staff were incredibly quick to support us and ensured that we were thoroughly satisfied. The food and drink options were delightful, and we were particularly impressed by the evening turndown of our room that was accompanied by drinks and snacks. The facilities (including a Reserve-only reception and lift, and the pool on our balcony) were sublime, and the way we were treated at The Reserve made us feel like royalty. We would be delighted to return one day!

I had the best hotel experience in the world at The Reserve and Savoy Palace. I went back 4 times in 1 year and decided to get married there! My wedding was the best possible experience from planning to conception because of the outstanding staff and chefs behind it. The staff is professional, warm, welcoming and efficient. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The 16th floor for Reserve guests is the perfect place to relax and have an amazing private meal. While downstairs, the other restaurants have extremely tasty meals. Each restaurant has its own character and delicious taste. I love Terreiro’s octopus, Alameda’s espetada madeirense and Pau de Lume’s pumpkin, not to mention Galáxias incredible banana dessert. The spa is beautiful and the treatments are the best. The gym is modern with a wide range of equipments. Overall, the hotel has a spectacular view, service, staff - all contributing to the best experience in Madeira and dare I say, the world! I stayed at another 5 star hotel in Madeira and switched to the Savoy because it is a thousand times better! There is no hotel like it in the island or even in Portugal. It is the perfect place to go with a big group of friends and family as it accommodates all ages and necessities. While also being a very romantic place to go as a couple. I can’t wait to go back and make it my annual holiday spot! It already feels like home away from home!

Great service with dedicated staff that go all the way to see customers satisfied. Delicious food throughout all restaurants. The room service is also amazing with options for all tastes. Definitely worth the price. Looking forward to stay there again.

What a spectacular experience! The Reserve is a special place, and the concept of staying in a boutique hotel within a hotel was very unique. The rooms are beautiful, but it was the service that was truly outstanding. We love The Four Seasons and The Reserve is on par with that brand in many ways. What sets them apart is the GEPA, a personal concierge that is there to assist with whatever the guest needs. The private spaces available only to Reserve guests made it that much more enjoyable as there were no crowds. We considered another popular hotel nearby, and while that spot is beautiful too, there was zero doubt that we made the correct choice in choosing The Reserve. It was the best spot to celebrate our babymoon and we will definitely return! Thank you to the hotel and wonderful staff for treating us so well.

High quality experience from arrival at the airport to departure. The hotel is beautiful, excellent location and service. The suites are large, very beautiful and everything has a lot of a quality. Choose a corner one to have a wonderful view of the city and the sea. The employees are very professional but mainly very friendly and helpful. Tbe breakfast menu is one of the best and most varied I've ever seen, which makes the buffet not so big. The food in the restaurants is very good, especially the Galáxia restaurant. The privileges of the Jacarandá club are excellent. The spa is good. We look forward to coming back and coming back ...

One of our favourite hotels we have stayed at, made special by the fantastic staff at The Reserve (from reception to room cleaning to pool and breakfast staff!). A very personal stay, which we didn't think we'd enjoy as much as we did. The GEPA service was great and was very useful with hiking and hotel recommendations. Room amenities were great including the pillow menu and the smaller touches including cable tidies for our charges. Packing and unpacking service was a plus. Overall a great stay, with Asian style service that you don't often see in Europe. Will definitely be returning

Everything was wonderful from start to finish. A beautiful hotel; a staff that is ready to help at any time; the most polite staff at any hotel I have been to; beautiful comfy rooms; great facilities for all of your desires. I would come back here in a heart beat!

My wife and I spent 5 days and 4 nights as guests of The Reserve. Something I was not aware prior to arrival but now understand, is the incredibly hospitable and esteemed delivery of services. The Reserve is a newly branded service of the Savoy venue in Funchal. As a Reserve guest you enjoy all of the benefits of the Royal Savoy and Savoy Palace as well as elevated Reserve guest amenities. We spared no cost and believe the value we experienced was reciprocal to what we payed. We utilized Reserve airport transfers to and from to include the Rolls Royce. Furthermore you have a dedicated elevator, dedicated breakfast and dedicated pools on top of the Royal Savoy. You have full access to the top spa ‘s in the world. There were times we felt like we were on a private island as you are pampered and presented with many extras . We utilized the GEPA app to make dinner reservation’s, order room service and ask any little question. Everything was thought of prior to your arrival. They called you by name and met you with a smile at every turn. The Spa and infinity pool were outstanding as well as all meals to include breakfast, lunch and dinner. Every morning and night we were delivered to our room something unexpected and welcomed. The staff is commendable for their professionalism and their respect for each other. If I must add a very slight criticism it would be the balcony pool. Like all pools and jacuzzi in Portugal, they are not heated. The balcony pool was never utilized and is a priced premium of the stay. However, I had no problem with the extra cost with the incredible views that accompany the balcony. Because of the Private Reserve pool, the spa pool and the Savoy beach access, an extra pool was not needed. This is a 5 Star resort that is “Reserved” for those who want to be treated like royalty!
