Tolles Hotel, schöne und saubere Zimmer wie in einem 5-Sterne-Hotel, tolle Lage, sehr guter Preis und sehr netter Service, ich empfehle es mit gutem Gewissen weiter ,Ich werde auf jeden Fall noch einmal hierher zurückkommen , 😊😊Es war eine sehr gute Wahl

Nice enough, and very handy Room was clean and functional; hotel very close to railway station, easily walked with suitcase. Automated check-in was easy on a machine in entrance (entrance is a side door to left of hotel front) - you need a passport number for checkin, but be warned no actual human at hotel reception. A little noisy initially from other guests, although I was in bed early - was quiet during night. Nothing special, but room clean and tidy and recently renovated by looks. Not cheap but it appears that is simply the town price when I stayed, and I had to book within a few weeks of staying. Storage lockers on site were good (took a full size suitcase) on checkout day, plus it was an 11am checkout if you needed it….. Easy walk to lakefront and good restaurants.

Sehr gute Lage für Anreise mit dem Zug nach FH Stadt. 5 Minuten über den hinteren Ausgang über den Platz. Dort auch sehr gut sortierte Bäckerei/ Konditorei/Cafe. Auch Kaffee zum mitnehmen auf‘s Zimmer. Zimmer einfach aber modern und ausreichend. Bad sehr klein, Dusche neuwertig und guter Wasserstrahl. Auch wenn wir nicht zum TV schauen gekommen sind, hat mich der Nichtempfang von SAT, RTL, VOX geärgert. ARD, ZDF und Regionalsender funktionieren aber. Was mich am meisten gestört hat ist die Lautstärke der Hauptstraße. Schlafen mit geöffnetem Fenster ist nur etwas für absolut geräusch-unempfindliche. Auch die Flure waren hellhörig und die Zimmertüren fallen sehr laut ins Schloß. Ich beziehe mich mit allem auf Zimmer 26. Ich kann das Hotel für einen günstigen Kurztrip empfehlen, würde aber trotzdem kein zweites Mal hier wohnen. Auch weil ich FH als Ziel nicht so attraktiv empfand und beim nächsten Trip lieber einen anderen Ort am Bodensee wählen würde. Perfekt als Vorübernachtung, wenn Flugreise ab FDH sehr früh startet. Die Nähe zum Stadtbahnhof ist ideal, von dort 6 Min. zum Flughafen.

Wir waren für 3 Nächte im Hotel Capitol. Die Lage ist Top. Direkt am Bahnhof und unweit entfernt vom Bodensee. Hier ein klarer Pluspunkt. Der Check-In war ein freundlicher Automat. Name oder Buchungsnummer eingeben, alles bestätigen und schon kam der Schlüssel raus. Das Treppenhaus ist nicht sonderlich hübsch aber dafür ist es ja ein Treppenhaus. Der Gang zum Zimmer war sehr dunkel - trotz Licht. Im Zimmer angekommen, fand man alles vor, was man braucht. Ein Bett, ein Schrank, Ablagefläche, Fernseher, etc. Sauber war es auch. Das Badezimmer war klein aber ausreichend. Und natürlich auch sauber. ABER, im Badezimmer selbst gab es keinen Lichtschalter. Heißt, hier brannte das Licht 24 Std. lang. Weiter konnte man zwar die Fenster öffnen jedoch befanden sich genau davor riesige Spinnennetze, an denen Abends, als es etwas kühler wurde, munter große und kleine Spinnentiere "Hallo" sagten. Dies war ziemlich ekelig, da an den Fenstern keinerlei Fliegengitter angebracht waren. Hieß für uns, Fenster geschlossen halten und das bei 30 Grad. Sehr unschön. Klare Empfehlung, hier mal zu säubern und Fliegengitter anzubringen. Das Hotel ist auch etwas hellhörig aber man kann schlafen. Preis/Leistung ist definitiv nicht gegeben. Man sollte für den Preis mehr erwarten können. Da das Hotel kein Frühstück anbietet, sind wir zum Bäcker gegenüber gegangen. Diesen können wir sehr empfehlen. Gutes Frühstück für wenig Geld.

Ordinarily, I might pull my punches in a review in light of the fact that there are real people who work hard and put their time and effort into making hotels what they are. Thanks to reception-tron - the ATM which completed our check-in - I did not meet a single human being on the hotel staff, and therefore feel I can be brutally honest. The hotel building has an unassociated casino on the ground floor, while the hotel itself occupies the second and third floors. Should you ever forget this detail, the secondhand smoke and cacophony of gamblers will swiftly remind you. If anyone in your party is prone to epileptic fits, I'd recommend avoiding the second floor, as the flickering fluorescent lights would be an easy trigger. We did not have high expectations for the room and amenities - given that this is a budget hotel - but we were still underwhelmed. The white tile of the bathroom walls had several visibile vestigial hairs from previous guests. The black plastic of the bathroom floor, shower and toilet almost fortunately concealed whatever else might be lurking. of course, the Poco furniture was cheap. In this case, it was particularly noticeable given that the proprietor hadn't measured the appropriate space for bed side tables or desks, and that as a consequence, drawers directly abutted walls. While not a significant quality of life issue, it serves to illustrate the attention to detail taken. But let us not bury the lead. At about 0230, we began to hear an angry wrapping or banging on a door out in the hallway. Due to the lack of soundproofing, we weren't sure at first whether it was our own door, luckily it was not. At first, we decided to be patient...perhaps reception-tron had improperly dispensed a key. However, our aspiring percussionist companion's problems ran farther deeper than a mislaid key. The knocking was violent and incessant over the course of about 45 minutes all told. It ultimately turned out to be a sort of cold war domestic dispute between our door knocker and someone inside the room who refused to let them in. We repeatedly attempted to call the reception, but the line was busy. After those 45 minutes or so, we decided to call the Polizei. For what it's worth, that's the first time I've called 112 in about 4 years of living as an ex-pat in Germany, which should speak to the severity of the incident. Thanks to the aforementioned paperthin walls, the person violently banging and yelling almost immediately ceased after I began describing the situation to the Polizei. When they did arrive and came through the front door, the situatino had been resolved. To our knowledge, the front door is supposed to be open until 0100, after which you can use a code provided to unlock it. We found this concerning, due to the fact the public has unfettered access to the hotel prior to 0100--if the Polizei were able to enter freely or had been able to acquire a code we are unsure of.
