The 2003 Cardinal Forest RV rental unit is located at jFields Ranch at 1800 ft. (at highest peak elevation) with awesome bluff views of the surrounding mountains. The RV sits by a seasonal creek with rock outcropping landscapes. The RV comfortably sleeps 4 people. The main bedroom features a queen-size bed and a full-size sofa bed is in the living area. The RV is also equipped with wifi, TV and Amazon Fire Stick (all the TV and movies subscription and free apps pre-installed) You can also relax and watch a selection of DVD/Blu-ray movies while sitting in the home theater recliner seats. The kitchen is equipped with a propane stove oven, microwave, and coffee machine. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare your meals: pots, pans, silverware, baking dishes, cups, plates, bowls, herbs and spices. The kitchen table seats four. As an extra amenity, we offer Walmart Online Grocery pick up with 24-hour advance notice (Dinuba Super Walmart location) and stock up the fridge or deliver it in the RV for your convenience. For your outside activities during your stay, 4 camping chairs are available along with a folding table, an additional 4 chairs, and solid woodblocks to use around the campfire. At higher elevation in the National Parks you’ll find Ponderosa pines growing alongside giant Sequoias. It's a 20 minute drive to the entrance of Kings Canyon (Big Stump entrance) along Hwy 180. This is the best of all worlds: you have a gateway to the National Parks and a private setting in the woods. If you like the mountains, this is your retreat. If there is snow at higher elevations in the winter or early spring, tire chains could be required in the National Parks and on Hwy 180. Kings Canyon National Park is at 6000+ ft. elevation; it may be clear at the cabin but you could encounter snow as you head up into higher elevations.Please remember this is not a hotel. Access to parks is convenient but local roads are narrow. Note there's an unpaved road for a quarter mile leading to the cabin. The allure of the Starview Ranch cottage will leave you yearning for an extended stay.This hand-built cottage is 1400 sq ft with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The original quartz fireplace dates back to when the house was a hunting cabin before WWII and the renovated pine wood flooring is hand milled. There is an additional mattress in one bedroom so up to 6 people can stay comfortably. It has 2 screened porches, 1 off the bedroom and 1 is in the back with a table seating 4. The dining room table seats 6 and there is an additional outside table for 4 in the French garden as well as a large gas grill.Please note this property is 45 minutes from a grocery store so advanced meal planning is advised.The fireplace should not be used during summer months when the fire risk is high. The gas BBQ grill in the garden can be used year-round. Other things to note:I would like to remind guests that this property is out in the beautiful wilderness. Along with that comes both large and small animals that live here, whether we like them or not. You are in the great outdoors and may encounter bears, rattlesnakes, mountain lions, bats, insects, and other critters. If doors or windows (without screens) are left open these critters and many bugs tend to find their way in. We recommend only opening up the screened windows and ensuring doors are not left open. Also, no matter how rigorously the cottage is cleaned (and I take cleaning very seriously) there may be some dead bugs or a small cobweb that was created in the short time from cleaning to your check in... this is just a fact of life and part of the charm of staying at a ranch cottage in the middle of nowhere.Starview Ranch is located in a remote area in the Sierra Nevada foothills. The drive to the property from either Kings Canyon Drive or from the 245 involve curvy mountain roads with switchbacks and sharp turns which can also be narrow in some places. Sleeps 6-8.The wellness area is located about 400 ft downhill from the main house and includes a 75 ft lap pool, 8 person jacuzzi, wood burning sauna imported from Finland, cabana with a toilet, sink and shower (bathroom 2), seating for 14, a large gas grill and a 400 sq ft fully equipped gym.Starview Ranch is a working ranch and is home to 3 cows plus an apiary with active beehives situated well away from the dwellings.There are several trails and interesting things to see around Starview Ranch. Feel free to explore around the property but keep a safe distance from the bee hives at the apiary. Also, the fence surrounding the apiary is electrified.The main driveway along the property is an access road to a neighboring property. No one is currently living there but rarely a vehicle may drive through.The "sunset spot" near the garden is the perfect place to enjoy views of gorgeous sunsets over Squaw valley (even better with a glass of wine).The fireplaces, sauna and fire pit should not be used during summer months when the fire risk is high. The gas BBQ grills at the wellness area and at the cottage can be used year-round. I would like to remind guests that this property is out in the beautiful wilderness.
