Fredericksburg Hill Country Hotel

My husband and I have Never been in a worse hotel!! Upon arrival we were put in a room with only a full size bed ~ huh? ~ no bueno ~ we were moved to a king room ~ deplorable condition ~ it smelled clean enough ~ we checked the bed to make sure clean ~ sheets ~ yes ~ bathroom ~ “passable” ~ both rooms that we had been in already had wall paper falling down & pealing ~ drapery ~ disgusting!! Mold around every edge of bathroom. We went about our business to enjoy the day ~ when we returned we were enjoying some wine & kept hearing a water rushing sound ~ low and behold the room above us left water running in tub which proceeded to POUR into our bathroom 🤬. (This was around 11pm). Lucky for us I had the cell # for the ONE employee left running the hotel (Sandy was very polite and did the best she could with the resources she was given) She returned to hotel (NO staff on duty ALL Night) and got us moved AGAIN ~ this time upstairs with 2 full beds (at midnight I didn’t care I just wanted sleep) This room was in better shape than the 1st TWO we were in!! Wallpaper was in need of tearing down & the shower curtain looked like it had been wadded up for who knows how long & didn’t fit side to side in shower. Again praise for the one person employed there (Sandy) Bless her heart. This place should be SHUT DOWN!!! We can overlook a few things but not this junky run down place. Oh there is NO food of any kind to purchase at this place NO ICE Either.

Horrible experience and never even checked in. Had booked through *******. Went into hotel and there was a sign that said please call for assistance. There was barely any cars in the lot which I thought was strange. The upkeep on the hotel grounds was horrible. I left to walk around time and figured I’d come back to check in later. Hours later I returned and still the same sign was set out. So I called the number and was told there was no rooms. I said yes I have a reservation confirmation. He then said, if you went through ******* you need to contact them for a refund. I said why would the reservation be processed then? He said I don’t know contact them I can’t help you. He was rude and condescending and I told him so. He then called me an a$$hole and hung up on me. Some way to do business. Skip this stay!! I got hot refund and wish I had taken pictures of the place to post.

I made a reservation through *******. When I arrived, they would not honor the reservation, nor would offer me another room. The man at the front desk was extremely vulgar and rude. As I was leaving, I mentioned that I was going to leave a review online and he screamed at me “fu$k you ni$$er”
