Spark by Hilton Fredericksburg Southpoint, VA

The hotel was very nice, Comfortable & clean. Staff very friendly & helpful. Definitely would stay there again

We really enjoyed our stay here. Perfect for an overnight stopover when traveling. Not luxurious but ample for overnight. Bed was very comfortable, plenty of hot water (pressure was ok). Breakfast was just bagels, muffins, yogurt and orange juice. Only complaint was the sitting in the room. It only had one chair and ottoman, but we made it work (we are in our 70’s) and we’re comfortable. Room was a good size and plenty of room in the bathroom. Staff were very friendly and helpful . A great value. We will stop here again.

Cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Front desk personnel were absolutely the best. First class all the way. Highly recommend!!! Will definitely stay here again. Everything is brand new. If your hotel needs are for a clean quiet room at a reasonable price, then this hotel is for you. I have never stayed at a Spark hotel, but I have to say that my expectations were exceeded. Clean comfortable spacious room and the same can be said about the bathroom. The breakfast selection is limited but that is not a major requirement for me.

This place was fantastic for the price. Breakfast was awesome and coffee anytime! Beverly at the front desk, made our experience even better. She was very friendly, knowledgeable about activities around the area, and my 4 year old son loved her! Can not wait to go back!

I have been staying at this hotel for over a decade. I stayed in May and came back a few weeks ago to take care of my daughter's Memorial. The service was bad, I got up at 1230 am and stepped on a discussing bug. I took a picture and took it to the front desk the next morning and the guy told me it wasn't his bug. Are you serious. They were putting on a new roof, so bugs do come out. The night I checked in there was a whole football team sitting on the floor by the front desk eating and trash everywhere, it was on the floor the front desk the couches. After two days of not getting my room clean, I asked if they were going to clean my room. They said you want your room clean, but it never was. Running out of towels, toilet paper, cups and coffee. I shouldn't have to walk to the front desk for toilet paper each time. I stayed 8 days and one day they finally cleaned my room. The girl that came in at 3pm was the only jewel to the stay. She was helpful and very delightful. Otherwise find another hotel. There's a Comfort Suites right next door.

Late night check in was smooth. Parking lot is very dark but the area didn't feel unsafe. The hotel still has the older Sleep Inn décor (mostly a maroon color). I got a room right next to the elevator. Room itself was nice. Not the usual Sleep Inn with the curved wall and the spaceship shower. Bathroom drywall/wallpaper needed work (see photo). Shower head could be better but not bad, water was nice and hot, OK pressure. Work desk was fine, chair was not high enough. Wi-Fi was FAST but kept disconnecting. AC was a little loud at first but settled down. Bed was very comfy! Never had much noise issues except housekeeping as they used the elevator area to meet up. Very friendly guys at checkout. Its located near just about everything you need!!

This is the least expensive property among several name brand hotels at Exit 126 south of Fredericksburg. The rooms are well maintained and the service was adequate if undistinguished. Breakfast was about what you would expect at a lower-priced property. This is a good budget choice for an overnight stay.

.....a really nice break from the I-95 traffic. The front desk/welcoming staff (every single one of them) : PLEASANT - HELPFUL - CARING....but it seemed they had a burden of being short-staffed. The room was modern, clean, and comfortable. However there was an issue with MAINTENANCE. Our bathroom sink would NOT drain (plugged???). When we requested a plunger, it was the poor lady working the front desk, NOT maintenance who apparently left the front desk to bring the plunger to our room. That IS WRONG!! MAINTENANCE/HOUSEKEEPING??? Upon arrival and going to our room on floor 2, the hallway carpeting was soiled - stained in not one but many areas....NOT a good 1st impression---Where are the "eyes" (supervision-managers) to "SEE" and correct this?? OK, that done, the breakfast was surprisingly VERY GOOD ....and it had BACON, a nice surprise as well as the gentleman working/serving. He worked hard but was pleasant and actually spoke with the patrons....NICE....All in all, not bad...SLEEP INN just needs to "see" those little things that "MAKE THE DIFFERENCE!!"
