This is a good place if you need a bed for the night

If it was possible I would give less then 1 star. We stayed at 564 warrenton road fredericksburg va 22405 on 3/24. It was AWFUL! It started when we were on the road and called to book a night. I was told to go on online to book for a better deal. I was quoted $93 a night by the clerk. He said I'd get an extra 20% off online. I also have AARP and AAA and get discounts with them. Booking online didn't give me any discounts. Instead I've been charged about $130, The condition of the property was like being on a construction site. The room furniture was something from a frat house or a low end thrift store. I tried to shower and no hot water from the shower and not at sink either. The room was cold and the heater in there never warmed it up. We lasted about 6 hours and packed up to leave. We told the front desk when we checked out and they just looked at us. Didn't seem surprised or try to apologize. Let us walk out the door. I feel ripped off for the cost and not getting any of the discounts I was told I would get.

They didn’t have room keys and you had to go to the front desk to get back into your room anytime you left. They didn’t mention this until you paid then said no refunds. But this is only the beginning of this horror story. The room stunk like smoke. We inspected it more and found spider webs, bed bugs and dead bugs on the floor. I went outside and called the Holiday Inn Express next door and got rooms for my family. We were not staying there. On top of this half of the building was condemned. The second story was held up by temporary braces. I am astonished that the city allowed the place to stay open. The motel still refused to refund us after we left minutes after arriving. STAY AWAY AT ALL COST!

Beyond disgusting!!!! Not accurately portrayed. Building is falling down, disgusting rooms, I was bitten numerous times. Any good review is a sham. Don’t stay here. Not safe. I prayed all night to get out of there unscathed.

I booked a hotel room here for a couples weekend away from home specifically because they have a hot tub and I had a recent injury and wanted to use the the hot tub. The hotel called me on the day of my stay and asked for my (local) address and then informed me they couldn’t honor my stay due to my local address. I had booked using miles and had to call the booking system to get my miles refund. Complete waste of time and frustration. Wish I had reviewed the reviews first and seen what a low class hotel they are. I wouldn’t have booked here in the first place had I know how janky it is.

Lot’s of water damage, one side of the hotel is on 3 stilts and is literally crumbling. Let me correct myself, the entire place is crumbling. Do NOT let your children use the water here as if they put it slightly over medium temp it can get very hot, put it to max and it will literally get to boiling temperatures. The employees are nice though our room was very nasty, what appeared to be vomit in the carpet and in the bathroom. The A/C unit was so disgusting it we didn’t even turn it on, this facility almost no doubt has black mold due to the lack of proper maintenance. Location is near a lot of stuff and incredible all around. Gaps were all around the doors, after we did a deep clean and made it look better than when we got here, we used insulation to keep the door closed more. If you pull on the door hard enough you will probably rip the entire wall off as it literally bends outwards if you pull it closed. Massive cracks that looked like someone didn’t know to use a jackhammer on the outdoor floors (upstairs) didn’t use either pools. Massive gaps between the ceiling allow for birds to live in them. Easy!!! Don’t Stay Here!! Bates Motel would be better!!! Booked 2 stayed less than 24 hrs!! Left as soon as humanly possible!! Run down and scary!! Pictures on website must be 30 years old…at least!!!!!!!!! Too many issues to list!!!!!!!!!

This is an old motel that has been updated. It has some throwbacks like a 9ft deep pool, sunlamps in the bathrooms and popcorn walls. Updated with nice beds/bedding, good Wi-Fi and AC, fridges, microwave, coffee maker, etc. I like the charm and friendliness and the pool is gorgeous. The towels are a little thin/sad. Across the driveway is a Holiday Inn Express . It is a more modern hotel with inside entrances and smells very clean. Costs a little more and no free breakfast, but that place also seems like a good option. A few odd things about the Clarion. 1) There is an extra, “indoor” pool with an old hot tub. In case you can’t use the outdoor one? Kind of crazy construction. 2) I’ve seen this before in VA but this hotel will not accept guests who live within 50 miles. 3) Here is one I have never seen. This place has a warning on the wall by the pool that chlorinated water may be damaging to your hair. 😂 I’ll try to post a picture.

By far the most disgusting place I have ever stayed , the building should be condemned, it’s falling apart an inside the room their was what looked to be I can’t describe large seat covered stains all over the tiny sofa in the room , filth in the bathroom , would not have put my feet in the tub ,. The bed was hard as a rock . And the carpet looked to be 50 years old and nasty!!!!!! You can hardly walk to your room if your in the Second floor the concrete walkway is falling apart and their are poles stuck underneath in what looks to be holding it up !!!!!! CONDEMNED IS WHAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN And $ 120.00 a night RIP OFF
