Friends road trip We had friends visiting from Aussie so were doing a south island road trip. A great stay at this property at Franz Josef. Cute cabin style, warm and quiet. Could sleep 9 so is a good option for families and groups. Waiho hot tubs just around the corner, these were a highlight. Great communication with property owner.

A beautiful spot. I wish we stayed for longer!

Not suitable for nine guests Within easy walking distance of town. Beds were comfortable and heaters in the house worked well but the bathroom was not heated and was very cold. Living area/kitchen cramped and settees very uncomfortable. House would be better with bathroom divided into two shower rooms/toilets and only two bedrooms with third bedroom made into additional living space.

The bedrooms had good beds, nicely made up - but there were no storage spaces/cupboards. The lounge/dining/kitchen area felt cramped & uncomfortable. The hot water in the kitchen did not work, but we were expected to do our own dishes, otherwise we would have been charged $25 extra. Parking & getting out of the property was difficult due the large bolders framing the drive rather tightly. We would not stay there again. Also: Considering the above, the place is definitely not worth its nightly price.

Really great place to stay, private and easy access to the shops and restaurants. Property always gave great suggestions of things to do and see.

We stayed here for 3 days and loved it. From the helpful friendly welcome to check out. Nothing was a problem. The outlook was great with rainforest right at the window. Nothing but birdsong and peace and quiet
