Buccleuch Guest House

We stayed three nights at this fantastic b&b, just ten minutes from the village. Lorna, this impeccable hostess and lovely person, is generosity personified. Fantastic breakfast and superb room service. As the weather is mainly rainy, it is possible to leave wet outerwear and shoes in a utility room in the building. We would also like to give a special thanks to Ooshies Taxis (Iain Blackmore) who gave us a guided tour around Glencoe and its dramatic scenery. A very nice and accommodating man. Good food and drink in the local area that we can really recommend are Sónas Restaurant, The Geographer and The Wildcat. And for those who like sweets - Nevis Bakery. Otherwise, a visit to the West Highland Museum is worth a visit, as is the Highland Cinema, where current movies are shown and good food is served. Here we recommend more people to pay a visit when visiting the Scottish Highlands.

The Guest House is no doubt one of the best if not the best I have stayed in The furnishings in the room were high class The host Lorna was magnificent and nothing was too much to sort out regarding local facilities etc. Breakfast was excellent This was my wife and I first stay and we are already looking to a arranging another in September 🤣

Planned to come here in July but got Covid. Couldn’t contact Guest House to cancel on time. Eventually reached them and were told no rebooking date, refund etc would be offered. Don’t expect cooperation if you have to change your booking

A clean, comfortable, well appointed, en suite room in a late 19th century property overlooking the Loch. Off street parking and a comfortable walk to the town centre. Made very welcome. A set cooked breakfast in a bright, airy dining room.

Our room was very comfy and spacious with an on-suite bathroom. Our host Launa was absolutely lovely. Always with a smile and easy to talk to. Breakfast was delicious, and very well cooked and a great selection of cereals and drinks. Great views from the guest house overlooking the loch. A very short 5min walk into center of town. Will definitely book here again next time we visit Fort William. Thank you Launa for making our stay special.

Great short stay at this boutique hotel, room 8 out of 10 , 10 being like brand new. Breakfast was excellent both mornings during our visit. Would thoroughly recommend this as a quiet smart place to stay in Fort William . Views out over the Loch were great too .
