Huntingtower Lodge

Everything was excellent:the reception,the friendliness,the rooms,the location ,the advice for the daily activities,the breakfast,but we were sad for future potential visitors to hear that we were the last clients because the B&B was definitely closing from the 17th july 2022.All the best to Peter and Tina in their new life! We choose Huntingtower Lodge to stop off for two nights on our way back from Raasay. We were not disappinted. We normally stay on hotels or self catering and were slightly wary of going to a B & B. Such a wonderful welcome from Peter and Tina. They were so open and welcoming providing us with lots of local information. Our room, the Studio was perfect, so clean and perfectly kitted out. The breakfast each day was so tasty - recommend mushrooms on toast, muffins with scrambled eggs with wondeful local salmon and bacon. i worked in the service industry for over 40 years and know good service when I see it. If you are looking at this review and thinking of bookng just do it! Thank you Peter and Tina

Unser Aufenthalt in der Huntingtower Lodge war noch viel besser als wir anhand der Eindrücke auf der Website erwartet haben . Wir verbrachten 3 Nächte im ebenerdigen Studio Zimmer, welches sehr geräumig und gemütlich eingerichtet war. Der freien Blick durch das grosse Fenster hinaus in den Garten und das Loch sind etwas ganz besonderes. Auch die Lage etwas ausserhalb von Fort William fanden wir perfekt. Das Frühstück war jeden Tag köstlich. Ich fürchte wir werden nie wieder Porridge essen können, ohne an die Huntingtower Lodge zu denken ;-) Der Ausblick vom Frühstückstisch auf die bunte Vogelschar, die sich im Garten direkt davor tummelt und auch frühstückt ;-) wir haben selten in so angenehmer und ruhiger Atmosphäre gefrühstückt Peter und Tina sind äussert freundliche und offene Gastgeber. Die Tipps für Tagesrouten und Plätze abseits der bekannten Touristenpfade waren Gold wert. Die detaillierte Karten und lokale Wetterprognose waren bei unserer Tagesplanung immer sehr hilfreich. es gibt in der Gegend so viel zu sehen und zu tun, unbedingt mehr Zeit einplanen wenn man auf einem Roadtrip durch Schottland unterwegs ist. wir werden sicher wieder kommen!

Gem of a B & B in a beautiful setting. We loved our very spacious Studio room with panoramic loch view. Peter and Tina are warm, helpful and informative hosts. Terrific breakfast to set you up for the day. B & B's don't come better than this.

We stayed for 2 nights at Huntingtower Lodge and it was one of the most delightful parts of our trip. Peter and Tina were the warmest hosts and truly thought of everything to make our stay wonderful. They are thoughtful about supporting the community, including providing amenities from local artisans and recommending local services. We enjoyed the walk on the property, garden tour, telescope, and morning bird watching. We also were sure to bring a bag of Scottish porridge back to the States with us so we can complete the "six stages" at home. Thanks for the comfortable stay!

We stayed for just 2 nights and enjoyed every single moment, Peter & Tina are great hosts with vast local knowledge. We had the enormous Waterfall Suite on the first floor and can thoroughly recommend that room but we have stayed previously at this lovely B&B in other rooms and they were all spotlessly clean and well appointed. Lastly, the breakfast is to die for and sets you up perfectly for the day. First stayed here in 2009 and if we do return to Fort William then Huntingtower Lodge will be our automatic first choice.
