Traveling east from Tucson on I-10, Fort Stockton was about as far as we planned to travel in one day, and we made reservations at the Best Western Plus there. That turned out to be a good move. The BW was comfortable, well-staffed, and offered a good breakfast the next morning. Our room was spacious and even though it was on the hotel's side facing the highway, road noise was absolutely no problem during the very restful night. The hot and cold breakfast was well-stocked, and your reviewer was pleased to see that the BW offered scrambled eggs on the hot table, rather than the horrid cheese omelets we found at *all* the other hotels during our trip. There are dinner spots in town, some open reasonably late, though all require a bit of a drive from the BW hotel. Beware that I-10's peculiar two-way frontage roads in town can be confusing, especially after dark.
