Perfect. The hosts, Jan and Michael are very nice, friendly and made our stay lovely. This house is beautiful and well laid out. Breakfast was delicious and lots on offer. Our whole experience was perfect and couldn’t ask for anything more. Thank you. Brian and Alissa Australia

For walkers on the Great Glen Way Rose Cottage is perfectly situated right on the route. It’s just on the way out of town up a short steep hill. Hosts Jan and Michael are delightful and the cottage is beautifully decorated with great attention to detail including an inviting sitting room and breakfast dining in the sun. The Scottish breakfast is a classic. The beds were the most comfortable we encountered on our walk. Rose Cottage is a “must stay” if you’re in Ft. Augustus.

What a super find. Lovely airy room, super welcoming Hosts. Fabulous Breakfast. Good base for Boat/Cruise trip. Fort Augustus is delightful. Lock Ness Exhibition Centre a must Visit. The Lock Inn nice place to eat. All facilities available in Fort Augustus.

Rose Cottage was perfect!! Jan and Michael are absolutely fantastic hosts who are extremely accommodating - your mug is never empty of tea! They have excellent recommendations of things to do and want you to have the best possible experience of Scotland. The room was excellent - so clean and comfortable and I loved the hospitality tray provided. Breakfast is fantastic and there are so many options - make sure to try Jan’s home baked goods!! The cottage is perfectly located near the centre of Fort Augustus and is only a short walk away - there is a lovely coffee shop overlooking the canal. Fully recommend choosing Rose Cottage as your stay in Fort Augustus! Thank you Jan and Michael for a wonderful stay.

Jan and Michael were fantasic hosts. Nothing was to much trouble. The breakfast were 5 star. Everything you could possibly want and more. Our bedroom was roomy and the bed very comfotable. We really enjoyed our stay here and wished we could have stayed longer. We cannot recommend Rose Cottage more highly.

Jan and Michael were fantastic hosts! They were very accomodating (we arrived quite late), friendly, and made a wonderful breakfast. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a private bathroom. We slept wonderfully. We would have stayed longer if we could!

The stay at Rose Cottage was a highlight of our 7 day walk along the Great Glen Way. Jan and Michael were very welcoming hosts and accommodation and breakfast were excellent. The fresh berries and grapes were in top condition, and Jan’s poached eggs were perfect. It was great to have the spacious guest lounge and wide selection of books to read. We enjoyed our stay greatly.

most probably the best place to stay in fort augustus. we felt extremely welcome. the b&b offers spacious rooms, modern bath rooms with well selected bathroom products (shampoo & co). the breakfast is delicious including fresh fruits, yoghurt, etc. thank you jan & michael!

They met me at the door and welcomed me with open arms. So friendly and nice. A really nice room, which was very clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast too. My only regret is that I forgot to bring the freshly made muffin, but I just didn't have time to think.
