we have often used this hotel, due to its close proximity to the channel tunnel terminal. However, after the stay we had last week, i think we will be looking elsewhere. There were a few points that i feel need highlighting 1. Auto check-in wasnt working so waited in a queue stretching back to the door to book in - not a great start. 2. The room we had (221) was generally in a shabby condition - battered paintwork, lamp shades ripped and hanging off , noisy fan in the bathroom etc - the place needs an overhaul 3. as others have said the heating situation was crazy - we tried resetting the thermostat but the room was still too hot to sleep comfortably, given that the duvet felt like it was a brick 4. It might sound petty, but when in the room i want to relax and maybe watch some TV. The TV only had a few channels, none of which were the main channels, only minor channels (quest was one that comes to mind) and shopping channels. I suspect this is to entice you to visit the pub attached to the hotel - on which point.......... 5. Beware the meal deal con - on arrival in the pub we checked in and specifically told the waitress we were on a meal deal booking. That same waitress took our drinks order. On completion of the meal we made to leave, having already pre-paid for the meals - only to stopped by a different waitress who said we had to pay for the drinks we had, because the brands we chose were not part of the deal. I asked why i wasnt told this when i ordered the drinks - the waitress said i should have told whoever served us that i was on a meal deal ! We later heard another customer arguing with staff over the same thing. All in all, very disappointed and wont be going here again.

I slept like a baby. The bed is very confy, the bathroom and the room are clean and the staff very nice. It is very easy to park and the location is very convenient. It is also very quiet. I alreafy used Premier Inn in the past and will be using this hotel again. I am never disappointed by the service provided.

Stayed in premier inn on many occasions but sadly this was the worst stay. Two nights booked at the start and end of our trip to France and experienced the same issue on both occasions. Room like a sauna and not below 23’ despite window open and fan on. Second night stay on return we were put in the second building which is apparently colder- didn't go below 22.5 ‘ On discussion with the staff member at reception this is an ongoing issue and can’t be resolved.

Great location for exploring Folkestone Town. Staff very friendly, helpful and explained everything thoroughly. Need to do something about room temperature. Although we had the window open and heating was off, it was constantly at 24°. This made it incredibly difficult to sleep due to it being too hot and stuffy in the room.

Great location for the Eurotunnel but rooms were terribly hot and extremely uncomfortable. The air conditioning could not be controlled. The staff were dismissive stating they couldn't do anything about it, only offering us more fans to circulate the already warm air. They told me they have lots of complaints about how hot the rooms are and have raised it with head office but nothing's been done about it. Not at all what I expected from Premier Inn. An extremely uncomfortable restless night with 4 adults, a 2 and 4 year old being miserable all night. Just what we did need before a long drive to France

Room not set up properly on arrival. Room not cleaned once during our stay after requesting it. No clean towels provided after being requested. Had to walk to reception to ask and be physically handed them. Staff not helpful or friendly at all.

The team who looked after me were great from one I first got there till the time I went The room was good I had room 211 but one thing could The trees 🌳 been done as thay are a bit close to window and if a 🔥 happens you will have trouble the room was great the bed was so clean food was so good and plenty there and it was not cold will be coming again next year again thank you for making my stay wonderful

The heating was unbearable (never ever would have imagined these words from me) and although my son-in-law spoke to reception their attitude was very unconcerned and they just said they were aware of the problem but there was nothing to be done. We were travelling to Paris the next morning early and none of us got much sleep because of the heat. I had to use my inhaler and went outside a couple of times to catch my breath. This was a real shame as this is a very nice premier inn and the rooms were clean. Ideal having a Brewers Fayre next door too, however, I would not go there again unless the heating problem was resolved.

Dated. Noisy and not a great sleep as advertised. The room was dated and paint scuffed and dirty marks all over the bathroom had missing bits and broken bits the fan was so noisy you couldn't leave it on while in the bathroom. The shower head didn't move it was stuck solid. So the water literally aimed at the back wall. For 3 night stay there were 2 tbags 2 coffees and 4 sugars 4 milk. Not replaced by anyone you have to do this yourself at reception. The towels 2 bath and 1 hand towel for 2 people is not enough. You again have to book changes and room cleaning we paid the same money per night as someone spending one night I expect my room cleaning and clean towels daily. This is not good policy. The food was just basic frozen stuff . So hot we had window open all the time and the noise outside was awful. The last evening we had no sleep as the room next to us had tv on full blast till 3qm and were shouting all night then delivery lorry at 5am horrendous motorway traffic all the time never again.
