Very good hotel. I will visit it again

A last minute booking due to our former accommodation letting us down. The hotel is located close to major attractions such as Secret Lagoon thermal pool, Gullfoss Falls, Geysir and the natural beauty of the surrounding area. We booked a superior room which was very comfy, had a 65" TV, coffee machine, kettle and shower room. The shower room had a back door opening out into the courtyard where a gorgeous seating area surrounded by basalt columns and secluded twin hot tubs with warm and very warm pools could be enjoyed...even though it was 1degree outside. The staff were fabulous and made us feel so welcome. The evening menu was limited but the food was lush and very well prepared and presented. The restaurant/bar area had numerous tables for dining as well as comfy seating area for a mid afternoon beer or wine. Nicely lit with a lovely ambience. For a brief few days stay, this place is thoroughly recommended.

Sehr gut Ein sauberes und gutes Hotel zu eine Top Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis, virallem für Island Standards. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls sehr gut, und das Wasser riecht gar nicht nach Schwefel. Gehört zu den besseren Hotels in dieser Preisklasse welche wir besucht haben.

Alles was goed!

We hadden een reservering voor Guesthouse Fludir aan de overkant van de weg, maar kregen een upgrade naar het hotel. Pro - aardig personeel - leuk/gezellig hotel - ruime kamer - hot tubs bij de kamers. - ok ontbijt - bedden werden op ons verzoek gescheiden en als eenpersoons bedden opgemaakt Con - geen idee waarom maar de kamer was te warm, verwarming uit, raam open…..niets hielp. Alsof er warmwaterleidingwerk onder de kamer door liep. - douche waterde enorm slecht af - je moet via de badkamer naar de hot tubs de deur naar je badkamer/kamer blijft dan open. Het is stikdonker bij de hot tubs en als je terug naar binnen gaat moet je uitkijken dat je niet onderuit gaat omdat het water in de douche slecht afvoert - Restaurant is matig. Ik had een te dure salade met bladsla met hier en daar zwarte randen….kom op zeg.
