Hhb Hotel Firenze

This is a good place for many many reasons: close to train station, friendly outgoing host, excellent location, great price....but there are few caveats that one may like to know about. 1) It is on the fourth floor, that is four flights of stairs up. This was not an issue for us, but for some it may be. 2) The host does not reside at the location, but 30 - 40 minutes away in the tow of Empoli. This may be typical of B&B's in Florence to not have the host at the location but it was a surprise to us. 3) You will be sharing the B&B, which is essentially an apartment with three bedrooms, with other strangers. This is probably OK for most, but if you are a single female traveler it may be a little uncomfortable. 4) There are three bedrooms - two on the main floor with ensuite bathrooms, and one bedroom that is up a set of stairs off of the kitchen area with no bathroom. So in the middle of the night you will have to leave the bedroom, walk down the stairs and through the common area to the common bathroom. 5) Breakfast is at 8:30, since the host lives 40 minutes away. So if you have early reservations you will miss it, although the host did not seem to mind if we made our own coffee/tea. 6) Not entirely sure about this, but the price may different depending which site the booking is done from. So one may want to check all the sites, including AirB&B and the Italian B&B network. 7) Breakfast is mainly coffee/tea/juice & yogurt & croissants, the later are sometimes warmed up from the day before. It was all too sweet for us, so we ended up supplementing with things we brought at the store.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Black Sheep. Great location to the train station and to all of the must-see places in Florence. Great accommodations with comfy beds, nice linens, roomy shower, and plenty of space to relax. Federico was a terrific host, he had great suggestions for restaurants, shopping, and things to do in Florence. Communication was first-rate, he is quick to respond, very proactive, and speaks English well. Delicious breakfast everyday: pastries, juices, yogurt, and cappuccino. It was also good to have a small refrigerator and hot pot in our room.

Abbiamo soggiornato 3 gg in questo accogliente e pulitissimo b&b bel cuore di Firenze dove la gentilezza, la disponibilità e la simpatia del proprietario Federico ci hanno fatto sentire a casa.Stanza ampia e confortevole, colazione abbondante e preparata personalmente per noi da Federico che ogni mattina ci ha viziato con dei golosissimi cornetti portati apposta per noi e per i quali ci chiedeva la farcitura preferita. Speriamo di poter rivisitare presto Firenze perche'sappiamo sicuramente dove ritornare. Grazie davvero di cuore.

As indicated by many reviewers, the most notable positive aspect of this property is the manager Federico. He is a wonderful, welcoming host who seemed sincerely interested in making our stay the best it could be. The room was very clean and homey. Very comfortable bed allowed a great night's sleep. Property is located conveniently close to the train station. Breakfast (espresso & pastries) provided along with open access to the kitchen. Highly recommended.

We just visited Florence and we stayed at this lovely B&B. I must say the place is situated in a very convenient area however its very central and close to all attractions and restaurants. The owner and his family where very hospitable and treated us very well. Also he was very helpful and recommended very good places to visit. Keep it up Federico.

Hoy dejamos el B&B y tengo que decir que es maravilloso, pero lo mejor sin duda es el anfitrión, Federico. Destacar su simpatía, conversación, amabilidad. Los croissants!! Un encanto de persona. Hoteles hay muchos, pero con Federico, sólo éste. Si vuelvo a Firenze me quedaré, sin duda, aquí. Se lo recomendaré a todo el mundo
