sina villa medici was well located in florence. staff was extremely helpful. example Edgardo and Luca helped me book train tickets to rome as I was not tech savvy. rooms were clean, well lit, not ultra modern but contemporary, bathroom was clean and efficient

I recently stayed at the Sina Villa Medici in Florence, expecting a luxurious and refined experience, but what I encountered was far from it. While the staff were friendly, professional, and genuinely the only redeeming aspect of this hotel, the rest of the stay was considerably below five star quality (more closer three star) The facilities are shockingly outdated for a hotel that claims to be five-star. The rooms were tired, with a mix of poorly maintained furniture and subpar amenities. The toilet seat was stained and the shower had black mould in the grouting. Shower was without pressure. The passageways were visibly dirty with stains, indicating a troubling lack of attention to detail and cleanliness. At a price of €700/night, this is completely at odds with hotels of superior stature that charge less. The hotel’s inconsistent room quality makes it a gamble for any guest. While some rooms have been renovated, mine had clearly not, and the stark contrast between what’s advertised and what you might get is infuriating. I’ve stayed in many hotels around the world, and this was by far one of the most disappointing experiences. If not for the excellent staff, I would have checked out early. Avoid at all costs unless you’re willing to gamble on a subpar experience for the price of a luxury stay. Avoid at all costs.

Quando una struttura è fatta da chi ci lavora. Il personale tutto rappresenta il valore aggiunto di questo albergo. La location la struttura certamente sono splendide realtà ma credo che senza la professionalità la gentilezza il garbo del personale che ho avuto la fortuna di incontrare non avrebbe quel tocco che rende L ospite felice e desideroso di tornare. The hotel had a lovely welcome and the staff were very kind. Unfortunately the hotel is very dated and doesn’t have a very good smell. The hotel has a lot of Potential but it just doesn’t seem to be updated. If you stay here, have the expectation of staying at a 2/3 star, not a 4.
