Homewood Suites by Hilton Cincinnati Airport South-Florence

I was so pleased with this hotel, my son wanted his own room, he is 19 but w/special needs. This worked out great! One entrance but two rooms and a really nice kitchen to fix his meals. Clean, quite nice staff. Close to Walmart if needed. Breakfast was ok.

Very satisfied with this hotel and would stay here again Close to the Creation Museum and 30 mins from the Ark. Hotel is clean, good breakfast, nice pool (water was nice and not cold like other hotels) plus hot tub. I like the suit options this worked well traveling as a family to spread out and not be so tight in a room. Only opportunity I see is better towels I had to keep getting towels because they were thin.

Not bad, but could use updating. The good: the rooms are really big and roomy. Great shower - lots of pressure. Lots of light throughout. Large fridge. Breakfast is typical hotel, but with great attendants keeping everything going. great TV guide. There is a huge lilac bush outside too! The fine: It doesn't affect your stay, but it can use some upkeep. The cupboards in the kitchen area slammed and were pretty chipped up. When leaving the elevators, there is a huge open area. Maybe put in a couch or something? It just looks a little off. Overall, it's a fine place to stay!

Beds are comfortable and room is really clean. The heat in the hallways is very high, we actually had to turn our air on to cool down our room before we could go to sleep. The staff was great, the breakfast ok - not bad bit not great. The oatmeal is way too runny.

After graciously allowing me to check in EXTREMELY early – at 10:30 in the morning – I proceeded to my room to find that the temperature was sweltering. Two temperature sensing devices are in the room, one at the door (which does nothing) and the control pad on the heatAC at the window. The unit at the door was reading 80 degrees, and the window unit was reading 75. As I was only in the room to change clothes before a long day of meetings, I first turned the heater off – then turned on the AC to help cool the room. I left to go about my day. I didn’t return to the hotel until about 11:30 PM and was shocked to discover that despite the AC being on all day (in theory, read on), the room was STILL HOT. In most hotels, and I am convinced that that is the case here, the AC is linked to a motion-sensing device – IE you must be in the room AND MOVING AROUND for the AC to run. As I went to bed, the AC was running, and the room was cooling. (Although not nearly quickly enough.) But, once I fell asleep, the motion sensor quit, the AC shut off, and the room temperature soared again. Why? The hallway outside the room was a walk-in oven! I’m guessing that that the hallway was upwards of 85 degrees, and probably every floor is the same, so I’m on the third floor and heat rises – the entire hotel is a furnace. My night was horrible. The next morning, I went to the front desk and told them what was happening. Informed that the hotel was full for the coming night, (and could not change my room), I received sympathetic assurance that my complaint would be passed along to maintenance. I said, “Make sure that they bypass the motion sensor,” and was told that it would be taken care of. Returning to the hotel that evening, I stopped by the front desk to ensure the problem had been addressed. The gentlemen behind the desk told me that the AC unit was checked out and found to be in working order – which was NOT the problem at all!! I was also told that he was ‘pretty sure’ that the AC units didn’t have the motion sensors, which was ignorance on his part or a baldfaced lie. You only need to hop out of bed at night, to hear the AC finally kick on again, to know the truth there. So, with nowhere else to go, I went up to the room, hoping for the best; it was cool and comfortable – but once again, as soon as I fell asleep, the AC shut down. I woke sweating and miserable. It was 2:30 AM. I checked out at 3:00 AM. They will not see me again. Other notes: The staff is friendly. The shower is nice, after the :35 min it takes to figure out how to work it. The toilets sit about 13 inches off the floor. Horrible on the knees.

This hotel is so nice. We only stayed for a few nights as we were spending some time in the area to go to the Ark and Creation Museum. It's the perfect location if you are going to those locations. The only downside for this hotel was that the walls and floor/ceiling are thin. We could hear every foot step from the person above us and loud conversations from the next room over. In the bedroom, you couldn't hear anyone talking but we had kids sleeping in the living room on the couch and trundle and they kept waking up. The breakfast was hot and extremely good. The staff was extremely nice and welcoming. The pool was pretty cold, so I don't think it's heated. The hot tub was very hot and nice to relax after a day of sightseeing.

We traveled there for a family vacation and had a great time! The staff was friendly and inviting and rooms were clean. The Breakfast was always good and never felt crowded. The Mangers reception was amazing! What a surprise, it was a full dinner with drinks. I would recommend this hotel.

Great option for families visiting attractions in the area such as there creation museum and ark encounter. Spacious suites, clean rooms and facilities, convenient location and good (hot) breakfast which is a a really good value for the price.

The outside and main inside of the hotel is very nice and welcoming. When you get off the elevator there is a big open space and the rooms are really big and therefore the doors are far apart from one another. We were impressed upon first impressions. I tried downloading the app on my phone so I could do the contactless check-in and it gave me an invalid message 4 times in a row. When I mentioned it at check-in at the front desk they just said "Oh". We decided to go to the pool and hot tub. The hot tub has black stuff (assuming mold) all around and in the filter area. The timer for the hot tub shows 15 minutes, but no matter how long you set it for, it only runs for 5 minutes. When I mentioned this to the manager, she stated it was a state law that it could only run for 5 minutes at a time. There are no signs stating this and I have never had a hot tub stop after 5 minutes in any other hotels. When we arrived to our hotel room there was no soap in the sink area, only in the tub area. I had to call and have someone bring us soap. There was only 1 trash can in the toilet area. If we had to throw something away, we had to do so in the toilet area as the rest of the room had no other trash cans. There were 2 alarms set: 1 for 5:30 am and 1 for 6 am. We were on vacation and trying to sleep in and could not do so because of these alarms going off. When I let the manager know about this and suggested this should be part of the housekeepers routine, to be sure alarms were turned off, she looked at me like I was stupid. The person staying with me took a 5 minute shower and the water was not draining in the tub. I took a 10 minute shower right after and the water continued to back up. By the time I had finished taking my shower, the water was about an inch above my ankles. We tried everything we could to get the tub to drain to no avail. I called to let the front desk know about it and we agreed the maintenance guy would come fix it AFTER we checked out the following day. Instead, he showed up at 8:15 am, while one of us was still sleeping and the Do Not Disturb sign was on the door. I spoke to the manager about ALL of these issues and she basically just stared at me like a deer in headlights. I told her all of the issues were unacceptable, especially the tub backing up like that. That should NEVER happen in a hotel. It could be dangerous as someone could slip and fall in all that water. Plus it is disgusting to stand in dirty bath water while you are trying to shower. We couldn't even wash our feet. I will never stay at this hotel again. Nor will I ever recommend it to anyone. I also will never stay at this particular brand of hotel again because our experience was so bad.
